Another young Bengal Warriors defender who let the fans down in Season 7 was Adarsh T. The youngster formed a partnership with the right corner Baldev Singh by filling up the left corner position in the absence of Rinku Narwal. He played 12 games for the champions in Pro Kabaddi 2019 where he could score only 6 tackle points.

His average of 0.5 successful tackles per match created pressure on the other defenders while his tackle strike rate also took a dip this year. In Pro Kabaddi Season 6, Adarsh had scored 14 points in 10 matches and his tackle strike rate was 52.17%. Also, he had attempted five more tackles than what he did in Season 7.

Since the team has a formidable left corner defender in Rinku Narwal, Adarsh was never a first choice player. Besides, he lacked in confidence this season and since his performances did not help the Warriors much, the team management may release him.

As far as the backup left corner defender is concerned, the Kolkata-based franchise should look to recruit some other young talent.
