Bengalru Bulls' journey in Pro Kabaddi season 5 came to a abrupt halt on Sunday. Needing to win their encounter against U.P Yoddha by eight points or more, they fell short by two, winning the game 38-32.

The Bulls tried and tried extremely hard. But U.P had enough quality to ensure they did not suffer a loss by a higher margin. At one point, it seemed Bengaluru could pull of a famous coup. They were leading by ten points. But it wasn't to be. Their players ended up making silly mistakes which cost them dearly.

The Yoddhas are now through to the play offs while Bengaluru who still have two games remaining are out of the race. Post the game, Bulls coach, Randhir Singh was extremely livid but refused to pin the blame entirely on his players. He suggested that form is temporary and even the top players have struggled to make an impact this season.

"Bad luck is not leaving us. A player goes through his ups and downs. Today where is Anup?, where is Jasvir? Where is Selvamani?", indicating that all of them have struggled this season. Players who usually bring their A game to the mat.

Singh further pondered over their loss. He revealed that he made extensive plans to stop Rishank which worked but rued the fact that some of his players failed to execute what was expected of them.

"The game was ours for 37 minutes and then Rohit made some mistakes. They needed the points not us, if the captain was inside the mat, the result could have been better. I had made a plan after studying them for three hours, Rishank who scored 28 points against Jaipur, where was he today?", he quipped.

Randhir believes petulance and impatience has led to their ouster from season 5. He indicated that the Bulls are a good side but his players need to play like men rather than kids, citing the example of his star raider, Ajay Kumar.

"We have made the mistakes, Ajay had no reason to try and run around. This is not a kids game. We should have attempted the bonus point instead. The match was ours 98% but we were a bit foolish," he stated.

Asked who he believes will win season 5, Randhir Singh ended the night with yet another epic reply - "I will not say, why should I pick a favorite apart from my side? The only favorite is my team," he signed off in style.
