Wednesday's dead rubber encounter at the Jaipur leg of the Pro Kabaddi League 2017 Season 5 turned out to be a thrilling one. At the end of forty minutes, Bengaluru Bulls scraped past Dabang Delhi 35-32 in a closely-contested affair. Usual suspects, Rohit Kumar and Ajay Kumar shone in the raiding department.

Both of them scored a Super 10 which ultimately helped them cross the line. Ravinder Pahal was a rock at the back, scoring a High-5. Rohit Baliyan's Super 10 went in vain as his teammates failed to keep Bengaluru's raiders in check.

The Bulls coach, Randhir Singh spoke to the media after the game and still has hopes for a place in the playoffs. He praised Delhi for their attacking style but reckons Delhi had nothing to lose hence they could play without any pressure

"We still have a chance to qualify, Delhi does not have any chance. They played with nothing to lose, that is why Jaipur lost against them yesterday. That is the same reason why Rohit Kumar was tackled tonight, he usually does not get tackled in such fashion," he explained.

With 44 points from 19 games, Bengaluru have an outside chance in the race for the playoffs. They trail UP Yoddha by a massive 10 points, who have played the same number of games.

After tonight's match, Rohit Kumar now has a whopping 168 raid points from 19 games. As a result, he is currently fourth on the list of the top 10 raiders of season 5. But Bengaluru's star revealed that he is least concerned with his individual records and only wishes to focus on the larger picture.

"We have to win every game now, I am not concerned about my individual performance. I have no aim of being in the top 10. My only goal is that the team keeps winning and qualifies," he stated.

Bengaluru Bulls are scheduled to play UP Yoddha in what will be an epic encounter. If they can win that one, there is no saying what could transpire at the end of the Pune leg. Rohit Kumar is confident his team can cause an upset and enter the final six.

"We are fully prepared for the matches ahead, we will have to give it our all to have any chance of making it to the playoffs. It's not necessary that UP Yoddha have to lose against Jaipur," he signed off.

This one has all the makings of a cracker.
