The Steelers will be without two of their key men

The Haryana Steelers have had a mixed bag of a campaign in their home leg of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5 so far, which culminates today as they face off against the Jaipur Pink Panthers in a crucial Zone A clash. They will be looking to give their home fans something to cheer about after their massive defeat to the Puneri Paltan on Wednesday on their last day in Sonepat.

However, in a shocking development, they will have to do so without their two main defenders Mohit Chhillar and Surender Nada, who will not play in tonight's encounter against the Pink Panthers. Sources close to the league have confirmed to Sportskeeda that the duo has not been named in the starting lineup of the team and have not even got a place on the bench.

On the other hand, the Jaipur Pink Panthers will look to resurrect their season and lift themselves from the bottom of the Zone A table as skipper Manjeet Chhillar returns to the starting lineup after a lengthy layoff due to injury. Also returning is star raider Jasvir Singh, who missed out against the Patna Pirates, a game which they lost by a huge margin.

The action shifts to Ranchi on Friday as the eighth week of the PKL starts with the Patna Pirates' home leg.

Here's how the Zone A standings look like prior to tonight's action:

Haryana Steelers Matches (14) Points (46)

U Mumba Matches (13) Points (39)

Puneri Paltan Matches (10) Points (37)
