Kabaddi has brought a lot of changes in the game. Since the inception of PKL in 2014, Many experiments and new techniques have taken birth during its history. One such change has been the advent of all-rounders in the game. 

All-rounders are players which bring balance to a team and allow teams to field an extra raider or extra defender as per need.

An All-rounder is perhaps the most important player in a team. The transition that he needs to go while defending to attacking within minutes is mind-blowing.

They are not the highest scoring members of the team but are the utility members which a team cannot afford to miss out.

#5 Meraj Sheykh

In a sport dominated by Indian players, Meraj Sheykh was probably the first Iranian player to leave a lasting impact in the league. Master of spectacular defending as well as attacking skills, Meraj won many hearts in season two.

His adventurous raiding and solid defending became the talking point of season 2 of PKL. In the process, he also became a first foreign player to captain a franchise, when he took the honours with Telugu Titans. 

The 30-year-old Iranian dynamo was adjudged the best all-rounder of season five.

His signature move scorpion Kick is the epitome of agility and flexibility.


Meraj has featured in 69 games scoring 236 raid points along with 52 defence point making him an undroppable entity.

#4 Rajesh Narwal

Rajesh Narwal is one of the most seasoned all-rounders in the Indian Kabaddi circle. Along with Manjeet Chillar, he has been the flag bearer of Indian all-rounders for a better part of a decade now.

He uses his experience to the maximum effect during a match. He has developed a deep understanding of the game and always performs as per the need of the team. He was the mainstay of Jaipur Pink Panthers for first four seasons before moving to UP Yoddhas.

The Haryana all-rounder keeps it simple yet effective moves on the mat. He signature move running hand touch is the most simple yet most effective raiding move in the game of kabaddi.

He has scored 104 points in defence and 282 points in raiding. He was second highest scoring all-rounder in season two and season three whereas was adjudged the best all-rounder in season 4.
