Commentary

Right then. Only less than a week after going through the highs of being the only side to hold both World Cups at the same time, England have been given a little reality check against their fiercest rivals. Of course, it's not a case of going back to the drawing board for them. The win has a bit more significance for the Australians though, getting back to winning ways as they prepare for a big summer of cricket ahead. A 2-0 win to seal the ODI series is a good way to start, that's for sure. That's all we have from this contest then. This is Pratyush Rohra, signing off on behalf of my partner, Pradeep Somashekhar. Josh Hazlewood (Australian captain): I was lucky with the players around me. We bowled really well. It was the kind of wicket that looks okay with two set batters but we did well to dismiss them. Marnus was exceptional and showed some intent. Marsh chipping in during the end too was crucial. I was looking around thinking who is next to bowl and thought I'm going to have a go. It's fun to have captaincy and the boys were helping me out from time to time. The weather isn't great there. Let's see what happens. He (Smith) said he's back. The summer looks really good for him.

Moeen Ali (England Captain): Obviously we were in good position, we lost wickets in a heap and then at the start, two wickets in first over but I thought they played well on that wicket. I though Rash and Dawson bowled well and pulled things back, at the end we bowled really well, Woakes as well and the wicket got easier to bat on but we lost too many wickets that cost us. No body slogged and got out, one of those things, they bowled well, actually we were cruising, if you lose too many wickets you don't win too many games. Just another game under the belt, try to win that and just play on a positive note.

Mitchell Starc has been adjudged the Player of the Match who set the tone for this win and help seal the series! Here's what he has to say: Pretty good, nice to get the series win and a lot of positives to take out from tonight and we move on and give the same in Melbourne. Nice to use the swing that was on offer, nice to get off the start that we did and three wickets in the powerplay did set the tone and Smithy did his bit with the bat. I think we obviously saw in the first innings, was a bit two-paced, kept low, we bowled those right lengths and lines, something that Josh does, he's so accurate, that's why he's one of the best in the world. Zamp has been so good for us in a long time, we call him on pressure situations to break partnership, he's done it time and time again, he's been taking the wickets early in the past but he's on the hunt and finished it well.

After a disappointing T20 World Cup campaign which seemed even more bitter Down Under after England lifted the trophy, the Australians have managed to move on and give themselves something to smile about. It was a commanding performance in the first match and it was nothing less in this second game either.

It was all set up by Steve Smith's dogged knock of 94 with half-centuries from Labuschagne and Marsh providing enough support. In reply, Mitchell Starc got the ball rolling for the hosts by getting rid of Roy and Malan in the very first over of the game. Hazlewood dismissed Salt soon after, leaving England tottering at 34/3.

The game could have been over in a jiffy at that point but Vince and Billings had other plans. The 122-run partnership between them helped England not only steady the ship but also get their noses in front. At 156-3, they were cruising along, until it all went downhill rather quickly.

Vince was trapped by Hazlewood but it was Adam Zampa's spell in the middle that turned the game completely on its head. After being carted for 10 runs in two balls by Moeen Ali, the leg-spinner responded in some style to dismiss the England captain.

He didn't stop there, bagging a couple more wickets, including the crucial one of Sam Billings, that more or less sealed the deal. England will look back at it as a lost opportunity to level the series. They had this in their grasp before the collapse saw them throw it away. England lost 6 wickets for 52 runs and that was where they lost the game.

Dawson's going to go up for the review because why not? This one's unlikely to get overturned if you ask me.

Ball tracking has WICKETS Umpire's call and the on-field decision stands, Australia seal the series right here as they go 2-0 up with one game to go!
