Commentary

Well, this really turned out to be a no-contest and we're done with it much earlier than we would have expected. The Aussies have hammered the Windies in all the three matches of the ODI series and the West Indies really looked shell-shocked by the end of it. They would need some kind of a turnaround as now the action will move on to Hobart, where the T20 series will commence on Friday. We really hope that the T20 series would be a much even-contest as the pair of Sourabh Agrawal and Mohul Bhowmick will like to take your leave. See you soon!

31 overs was all this match needed to produce a result! If the term one-sided contest was made for some match, I'm a 100% sure that it was this match. It was almost like one team did not really turn up to play this game. To say that this was just comprehensive from the Aussies would not be fair, it was much and much more than that as the they complete a dominant 3-0 win over the Windies.
West Indies were never really in this match after putting up a dismal performance with the bat early in the morning. It seemed like the Aussie batters had come out for a practice session in the chase as Fraser-Mcgurk, the newest sensation in Aussie cricket, toyed with the Windies' bolwers before getting out on 41 off 18 along with Josh Inglis who made a 16 ball 35*. Aaron Hardie also fell towards the end but this never looked like a international game in all fairness.
Earlier, Xavier Bartlett, the star of the series for the Aussies, took another 4-fer just like he did in the 1st ODI and he was given great support by his mates as they folded up the Windies for a paltry looking 86.

Steve Smith (Australia captain) - Was a good game, the bowlers put it in the right areas and everything seemed to work out really well. One of those days when everything goes right for you. It was a good opportunity to expose a few players to international cricket and really nice to see a couple of them perform really well. Fraser-McGruk was exciting, hits it really hard when a gets a hold of it. Plenty of guys in the top order who can go out there and give it a whack. It was really fun!

Shai Hope (West Indies captain) - Not sure if we can make sense of the game, our body language was really down, we really need to do some soul-searching. We didn't bat as well as we could have and that has shown. There are a few things we can look at, our mindset and some other things, but we really didn't bat well enough. A few positives like Carty and Chase and we will have to look at the positives. Looking forward to the T20 series, a different format.

Xavier Bartlett is the Player of the Match and the Series! Let's see what he has to say: I got a taste of international cricket. It was quite a surreal experience. Glad to have got the win. There was still some pressure in this game, but we managed to work hard and get the result. I was just trying to pitch the ball in the right areas. The ball was swinging around and it went my way. I think I will remember my first international wicket for a long time. It's a great feeling to share the dressing room with such legends and play under Steven Smith.

Australia have made a mockery of this West Indies side as they have chased down the target with 259 deliveries to spare. This is also the shortest ODI game in Australia in terms of deliveries bowled.

Going by the way Smith loves his batting, he wouldn't really mind coming out to finish this off and get a not-out against his name.

6.2 Oshane Thomas to Aaron Hardie, EDGED AND GONE! At a length outside off, shapes away just a tad. Hardie pushes at it without really planting his front foot. It gets a feather off his bat and goes straight to the keeper Shai Hope, who celebrates as if the Windies might just be winning the series here!
