A tough day in the office for South Africa despite the fact that they are already in the semifinals. For the Aussies, though, quite a performance ahead of the big semifinal against India. Tahlia McGrath (Australian Women's Captain): "The plan was to bat with intent. So that was the plan going in. Few early wickets, but the way Voll and Mooney batted, it was pretty good. Awesome to get the job done and nice to walk away with a bit of momentum"

Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women captain): "Not the way we would have liked to end the league phase! I thought it was a decent wicket to bat on. Alana King bowled really well! I feel like I'm timing it well. We'll try to forget today and go ahead now. It's been a really good team effort in this tournament, unfortunate that we couldn't quite put things together today, but, we hope some of us put our hands up for the semi-final. We got rid of the scars of that England game quickly and got going. Happy to play them again in Guwahati!"

Alana King (Player of the Match, 7/18 off 7 overs): "I think the conditions were a little bit similar from the last game, but, we were expecting the ball to slide on more. As a bowler, I always love wickets to my name, but it all depends on what role comes along at the instant. I'm trying to give it a rip every ball, but, some just hit the leather and some, the seam. But as long as I'm doing my bit, I think the results will show. Will take it one at a time, and so, the focus now is on the semi-final."

South Africa made it tough for the Australians, at least at the outset, despite having to defend just 97!!

Giving it everything they had on the field while also picking up two early wickets, the South Africans refused to allow the Aussies to cruise along.

Georgia Voll and Beth Mooney, however, gradually took control of the proceedings after Elyse Perry and Phoebe Litchfield departed early.

A 50 partnership between Beth and Voll enabled the Aussie to overcome the early jitters en route to an emphatic 7-wicket win
