Three wins in three for the Kolkata Knight Riders - two thumping wins to go with a last-over humdinger. Of course, there's the concern about peaking early, and the Shreyas Iyer-led outfit has been reliant a touch too much on their top-order hitters so far. Bit of a brick-by-brick progress is what they'll look at to structure something big and strong over the course of the season. The Delhi Capitals came into this game on the back of a resounding win over the Chennai Super Kings at this very venue, but a game of this sort is bound to take a lot of wind away from under their sails. Back to the drawing board for the 2020 IPL finalists.

Sunil Narine has been adjudged the Player Of The Match - some surprise, that, isn't it? Here's what he has to say: Cricket is all about batting, contribute more with the bat is much more pleasing. At the end of the day, I still enjoy my bowling. (On not attending batting team-meetings) Think I have one role, the less you know is better for me. We had efficient batters at the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, and they were doing a great job, putting on good scores. It's about what the team needs. Batting with Salty is good - he's aggressive, he gets these situations, doesn't take up too much dot balls. On a good wicket like that, tried to keep it as tight as possible with the ball. It went good, total team effort with the ball, picked up early wickets.

Shreyas Iyer, Kolkata Knight Riders captain: To be honest, the way we started, we thought we'd reach around 210, 220, but 270 is like an icing on the cake. Sunny's job is to go out there and free his arms and see to it that we have a great powerplay, even if he doesn't, we've got other batsmen who can take on the bowlers and see to it we get a commendable total by the end of the powerplay. He (Raghuvanshi) was fearless right from ball one, and when you see him at training, he's top notch in terms of analyzing the situation, he's a smart batsman when it comes to leading the situation. The way he played today - the shots were pleasing to the eye. Great to see all the bowlers stepping up at the right time and taking responsibility, owning their yards. The way they stood for each other is what we thrive on. Hopefully, we continue with the same momentum. (On whether Harshit Rana is okay) Don't know - he was holding his shoulder - I know how that feels. He (Vaibhav) was sensational, although he went for two fours the first over, the way he came back and took crucial wickets, he stepped up at the right time. You always got to be down to earth, especially in the IPL.

Mitchell Starc: Not changing too much. In the game of T20 you need a bit of luck. You move on pretty quickly as the game comes and goes very fast. We are 3-0 and did a brilliant job with the bat and ball. The game comes thick and fast, T20 cricket can be cruel at times for the bowlers. Look you take a little bit of luck. We were clinical both with bat and ball. Nice to get those wickets but more importantly we won the game. Woul have taken 3-0 at the start of the season. He was fantastic today. He used the short balls veery well, we have conversations in the meeting and I try to give out the message on how to tackle the likes of Warner and Marsh. I think today, the bowling was exceptional and Vaibhav in particular was top notch.

Rishabh Pant (Delhi Capitals captain): I think we were just all over the place. We could have done better but sometimes things don't turn up right on the day and it was one of those days. See as a batting unit we talked about going hard. As a team we wouldn't like to lose without trying to go after the target. It was quite loud here but couldn't see the timer on the screen. There was some problem on the screen. You have to go wit the flow as you can't control the uncontrollable. The thought process was to not given the ball early to the spinners. It's time for reflecting as an individual point of view and hopefully we can reflect better and come back stronger. My body is working well but cricket has it's up and down. You can have a good day and a bad day and it's important to control your emotions as a captain.

The team in purple and gold extend their stay at the top of the table - their net run rate has risen to +2.52 thanks to the margin of victory tonight! Could have gone up a lot more - the Capitals middle-order duo of Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs put up a brief show in those middle-overs. As one-sided a game as they get - the Kolkata Knight Riders make doubly-sure of putting an end to the home-advantage factor so far in the IPL.

The Delhi Capitals top-order fell like a pack of cards as they tried to go hard. While Prithvi Shaw and David Warner got off to starts and perished, Mitchell Marsh picked out Ramandeep Singh at point with a slash towards point second ball, and Abishek Porel seemed all at sea having been promoted to number four ahead of Pant and Stubbs - Vaibhav Arora accounted for him with a short ball and rubbed it on him with a send-off.

Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs put up a partnership that provided the Delhi Capitals with some sort of respectability as Shreyas Iyer turned towards his finger-spinners. He decided on bowling his namesake - Venkatesh once - good that he did, the 28-run over from Venkatesh Iyer would have wounded the Kolkata Knight Riders on any other day.

Both batters got to their half-centuries and perished soon after - Varun Chakravarthy, having done his part on keeping a lid of sorts upon both big hitters - accounted for Pant, Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs in quick succession. The innings fell off soon after - Sunil Narine and Andre Russell got in among the wickets as the Knight Riders capped off a memorable night by bundling the Capitals out for 166.
