Australia 294/9 (50 ov)
England 275/9 (50 ov)
Australia won by 19 runs
Player of the match: Josh Hazlewood

Australia beat England by 19 runs and go 1-nil up in the 3-match series!
That brings us to the end of this thriller of a contest between England and Australia. Chasing 295, England batsmen started off slowly owing to some phenomenal bowling from Australian pace quartet. They kept bowling tight lines and did not give anything away for the first twenty overs of the game. They pushed the England players to work hard for their runs. Hazlewood especially was breathing fire as he struck twice in the first 10 overs sending Jason Roy and Joe Root back to pavilion. Jonny Bairstow could not get going in the start and was struggling to get runs. Just when Eoin Morgan was looking good, he got out to a short delivery by Adam Zampa who soon sent back Jos Buttler to the pavilion. England were reeling at 57/4 after 16.1 overs.

What followed was some display of Grit & Determination from Jonny Bairstow and Sam Billings. Although, both the batsmen struggled to score runs quick at the start, as the game progressed, they shifted gears going big at will. Soon, Bairstow reached his fifty and looked threatening to take the game away from the Aussies but he got out to Zampa after scoring 84 off 107 deliveries. That is when Sam Billings sifted gears and went big all along. He did not get much support from the other end but he kept going and pushed the Australian bowlers to innovate and the captain Aaron Finch to change his strategies. He tried hard to win it for his team but could not do so but he registered his maiden ODI hundred and still struck few glorious boundaries before getting out on the final delivery of the game as he got out to Marsh after scoring 118 off 110 balls.

Josh Hazlewood 10 overs 3 maidens 26 runs and wickets & Adam Zampa 10 overs 55 runs and 4 wickets were the pick of the bowlers as both of them have given away just 81 runs in 20 overs and picking 7 wickets among them. Overall, a clinical bowling and fielding performance from the Australians overshadow Jonny Bairstow and Sam Billings's performance with the bat as Australia beat England by 19 runs and go 1-0 up in the series.

Josh Hazlewood is the man of the match for his exceptional performance with the ball. He is all smiles as he collects his medal and is keen on playing limited overs cricket for Australia.

Australia beat England by 19 runs and lead the series 1-0.
49.6 Mitchell Marsh to Sam Billings, OUT! Marsh bowls length and he goes for the big shot. Doesn't get the timing right and the ball goes in the air straight to long-on who completes an easy catch. That's the end of an excellent innings by Sam Billings and also the match!
49.5 Mitchell Marsh to Jofra Archer, back of a length, Archer pulls it away straight to the man at deep mid-wicket.
49.4 Mitchell Marsh to Sam Billings, bowls the hard length at pace. Billings hits it down to long-on for a single.
49.3 Mitchell Marsh to Sam Billings, FOUR! Short delivery from Marsh and he pulls it away between deep square leg and deep mid-wicket.  Terrific shot to pick the gap between two fielders in the deep for a FOUR!
49.2 Mitchell Marsh to Jofra Archer, length delivery on the stumps, hit towards the fielder at long-on for a single.
49.1 Mitchell Marsh to Sam Billings, shimmies down and tries to pull the short ball, but gets pinned on the head once again.
End of the penultimate over of the game and England are 267/8 after 49 overs. Need 28 runs off 6 balls.
48.6 Pat Cummins to Sam Billings, low full toss, can't time it and hits it straight to long-on.
48.5 Pat Cummins to Sam Billings, FOUR! Goes for the ramp shot and executes it well. The fine-leg is up in the circle and it's the third boundary of the over. What a shot from Sam Billings. He has reduced the margin of loss by a huge extent. A loss unless there's a miracle.
48.4 Pat Cummins to Sam Billings, FOUR! Nails the pull shot! It was a short ball, this time of normal pace. Absolutely smashed it towards wide long-on for a boundary. Walks down the ground and smacks this delivery for a four.
48.3 Pat Cummins to Sam Billings, bowls it wide seeing the batsman come down the wickets, he plays it towards long-on and the lack of timing gives them time to come back for a second.
48.2 Pat Cummins to Sam Billings, slower delivery outside the off stump. Billings is deceived by the pace on this occasion.
48.1 Pat Cummins to Sam Billings, FOUR! Slower ball on a length to start with, but Billings picks it up this time. Pulls it away and places it perfectly between deep square leg and deep mid-wicket. And that's the CENTURY for Sam Billings! What a fantastic knock under pressure for his team. He has put forward a very good performance to win it for his team but this will go down just as a memorable hundred in a losing cause. Brilliant stint from him, Nevertheless.
A very good over from Starc comes to an end . 48 overs gone and England are 252/8. Need 43 runs off 12 balls. How many will Sam Billings score off the last two overs?
47.6 Mitchell Starc to Sam Billings, full toss, driven straight to the man at covers. Just a single to end the over. 43 runs required from 2 overs now.
47.5 Mitchell Starc to Jofra Archer, tries a couple of shots before the bowler delivered the ball, but hit it straight back in the end.  Just singles in this over.
47.4 Mitchell Starc to Sam Billings, slower short ball from Starc. He is too early into the pull and gets hit on the helmet. The protective gear falls near to the stumps as they go through for a single. The umpire and the physio talk to Billings.
47.3 Mitchell Starc to Jofra Archer, full toss on the body. Archer can get it away only to the hands of mid-on. They need a couple of boundaries here.
