Commentary

So, we are done with every international match before the T20 World Cup now! It's all about the cricket in the U.S. and in the Caribbean from here. Both these sides will shift their focus on the Group stage games. Pakistan of course, have a lot to do to get things right and ready. England look the part, as simple as that! With that, we come to the end of the coverage for this series. It's the pair of Arya and Bidipto taking your leave. Keep following Sportskeeda!

Jos Buttler (Player of the Series, England captain): (On what makes him happy) I think the performance overall really! The guys stepped up and on both days, out bowling group were fantastic! (On his own performance being so good) The quest to keep improving and get better is what drives me. Things I haven't done before are being tried and thankfully, they are coming off. (On the preparations for the World Cup) Our guys are not short on cricket, quite a few of us were playing in the IPL, but the experience of our squad heading into the World Cup will be the thing.

Babar Azam (Pakistan captain): Yes we did very well in the first six overs but after that when I got out the momentum shifted. The middle order have to step up. Very difficult because you need to bowl two three good overs in the middle. England bowling are very good, they didn't give us any easy balls. We have to settle certain things in the World Cup. Yes we had a couple of changes. Lot of positive things, I think the powerplay was good. We have played good cricket in patches but overall it wasn't that great.

Adil Rashid (Player of the Match): I think it was more about accessing the conditions. It wasn't spinning much so it was about understanding your length and keeping it tight. As a spin department, we have to assess the conditions in the Caribbean. Once you get out there you have to adjust the conditions depending on so many factors. I think the prep is what I really on. Taking a bit of time and getting back in the nets and improve your skills. Things have fallen into place. That's the end for the squad. We are hoping to win another trophy but that won't be easy.

The start that the hosts got in the power play was already the difference and what continued after that kind of sealed the deal in 10 overs itself!

But a Haris Rauf surge to pick up 3 wickets and 3 decent, somewhat tight overs from Shadab Khan did stretch the match to the 16th over. However, Pakistan will be disappointed with their performance in the field.

Azam Khan dropped two catches behind the stumps, of which neither should have been. The ground fielding lacked energy and intent and only a couple of good efforts by who else by Haris, were celebratory from the visitors.

Even though no batter could go on and get a fifty, England will be quietly happy with the kind of intent their batters showed. Leading into the World Cup, they look like a collective threat to most bowling attacks, even if the tracks in the Caribbean are slow.

The famed pace attack of Pakistan was off-colour tonight, with Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir unable to bowl tight lines and lengths and keep the pressure on the batting.

The wicket of course wasn't in favour of anyone, but the hosts played a near-perfect game on a sporting pitch to look like genuine contenders when it comes to lifting the World Cup, twice in a row!

Pakistan have a lot of pondering to do in all three departments. They will hope though that the surfaces in the U.S. and the Caribbean are to their advantage, overall.

15.3 Haris Rauf to Harry Brook, SIX! Harry Brook finishes it off in style. England win by 7 wickets and take the series 2-0. Short of a length delivery a tad outside off, Brook makes away and carves it away up and over and comfortably clears the deep cover-point fence.

15.2 Haris Rauf to Harry Brook, on a good-length a shade outside off, Brook makes some room and tries to ease it away towards the off side, gets beaten.

Here again, Amir needed to do better, having got to the ball at third man. The 150 is up for England!

15.1 Haris Rauf to Harry Brook, FOUR! That has been cut away for a boundary. Back of a length delivery outside off, cuts this away past the point region, Iftikhar Ahmed with a valiant dive but lands onto the boundary ropes.

Haris Rauf [3.0-0-28-3] comes back into the attack.

Jonny Bairstow will be happy to have got the runs under his belt heading into the Caribbean. He has not been among the best of form of late, so, this knock should give him some confidence.

14.5 Naseem Shah to Jonny Bairstow, pace-off again, into the surface and Bairstow attempts a similar shot, goes for the ramp but doesn't make any contact this time.

Haris Rauf is having a good outing tonight, isn't he?

14.4 Naseem Shah to Jonny Bairstow, great footwork from Haris Rauf running in from long on. On a fullish-length a shade outside off, Bairstow drills this flat and hard down the ground, great first touch from Haris and even better on the second, keeps it to a couple.

Spear it in at the stumps Naseem, what are doing with the pace-off into-the-pitch stuff?

14.3 Naseem Shah to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR! Clever from Jonny Bairstow. An off-cutter into the surface, a shade outside off and Bairstow just ramps this over the keeper's head and off to the fence it goes.

14.2 Naseem Shah to Jonny Bairstow, SIX! Bairstow has got all off that. Fractionally shorter from Naseem, Bairstow hangs deep in his crease and pulls it away nonchalantly over the deep square leg fence.

That really should not have been a run! Shaheen let the single be taken too early.

14.1 Naseem Shah to Harry Brook, Brook comes down the track and punches this good-length delivery around middle, towards the mid-off fielder and takes a single.
