So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Dwijesh. Do join Sportskeeda's live coverage of the second T20I between Sri Lanka and England later tonight.
Jos Buttler: It was a nice performance. The bowlers set it up for us. Bowling first allows you to analyse the wicket better and plan accordingly when batting. We knew it was a surface where power strokes were needed, with the short boundaries. It's about batting in partnerships and it's always great to see him (Roy) go well. It was a great target to chase, credit to the bowlers.
Jos Buttler has been named as the 'Player of the Match' for his 68 off 55 balls.
Eoin Morgan: Quite a comprehensive performance. The pressure the boys created at the beginning, middle and end, was impressive. Bowlers made us look really good today, reduced Sri Lanka to an under-par score. Then the openers gave us that platform upfront, Jos showing his class once again. When you get ahead in the game, we have to sit back and get the best bowlers in certain situations. He (Livingstone) is an all-rounder in the squad, it was good to see him get a wicket early. Bowling both leg-spin and off-spin is a luxury, he is also great in the field and of course with the bat. Great to have Woakesy back. He has been a critical part of our limited-overs setup for a while now. Having back-to-back matches is always stressful for the players, so we might tinker a bit with the squad.
Kusal Perera: Credit to England. They bowled well. We didn't have enough runs on the board. Our bowlers tried well. We are backing our batting to come back. Not a lot of time (before the next match) and we hope to bounce back. He (Hasaranga) has been really good for us, Dasun (Shanaka) also did a good job.
Time for the Post-match Presentation.
Drop catch and that pretty much sums up Sri Lanka's day. They never looked better than England at any point. A target of 130 was always going to be too little for this power-packed England batting line-up and it proved to the case. England seal a dominant eight-wicket win with 17 balls to spare.

The English openers, Jason Roy and Jos Buttler were on the offensive from the word go. Dushmantha Chameera did bowl quick for the visitors but England motored onto 61/0 after the Powerplay. Sri Lanka also didn't help by delaying the introduction of Wanindu Hasaranga who eventually went onto finish with figures of 4-0-12-0.

It was Chameera who came up with the first breakthrough as he dismissed Jason Roy in the tenth over courtesy a stunning catch from Danushka Gunathilaka. Dawid Malan came in and struggled before being dismissed by Isuru Udana but Buttler batted superbly and brought up a fine fifty. The hard-hitting Jonny Bairstow finally finished off the game with a couple of big hits off Dananjaya's bowling.

Sri Lanka have to bat much better to make the rest of the series competitive. The likes of Dushmantha Chameera, Wanindu Hasaranga and Isuru Udana bowled pretty well. So, a decent batting performance might make a world of difference.
17.1 Dushmantha Chameera to Jos Buttler, EDGED AND FOUR! ENGLAND WIN! It was a back of a length delivery bowled outside off, Buttler throws his at it but gets an edge towards the keeper, who can only get a thumb on it as it ricochets towards the boundary for the winning runs. England beats Sri Lanka by 8 wickets and go one-up in the series!
Massive and England just require one run now.

16.6 Akila Dananjaya to Jonny Bairstow, SIX! BANG! A full ball that was in the slot, Bairstow gets down on one knee and slog sweeps it over the man at midwicket, who is a mere spectator! Scores are level here!
16.5 Akila Dananjaya to Jonny Bairstow, a full ball bowled on the off-stump, Bairstow defends it back to the bowler
16.4 Akila Dananjaya to Jos Buttler, a leg-break bowled outside off, Buttler is content in pushing it to covers for a single
16.3 Akila Dananjaya to Jonny Bairstow, a length ball bowled into Bairstow, who plays it to cow-corner for a single
16.2 Akila Dananjaya to Jonny Bairstow, a off-break bowled into the batsman, who is early into the pull shot and takes it on the body
16.1 Akila Dananjaya to Jonny Bairstow, FOUR! A leg-break bowled on off-stump, Bairstow brings out the reverse-sweep as he manages to beat the third-man fielder for a boundary!
Four runs off the over. Sri Lanka have done well to drag the game but unfortunately they don't have a massive total to defend. ENG: 117/2 off 16 overs. They require 13 runs off 24 balls.
