Mumbai Indians win by 57 runs and march on to Dream11 IPL 2020 Finals!

There it is Mumbai clawed their way onto yet another finals and how well have they played tonight, with the bat and even better with the ball, Bumrah and Boult demolishing Delhi's top order and just shut the doors for them with the chase with only the toss not going their way, they had all the other dots connected from there on.

At the start of the chase, Boult strikes in the first over with Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya back in the dug out at the end of the over, Shaw's miserable run in this IPL continued as he looks to fish outside off and gets a feather through to the keeper in the end, Rahane caught plumb in front later on in that same over making a dreadful start for Delhi already in that first over.

Bumrah in the next over makes things even worse for Delhi as he bowls a searing yorker to rattle Dhawan's stumps and Delhi were tottering at 0-3. Shreyas Iyer in the middle, looked in good touch as he played through the line couple of shots but perished later on trying to play one too many at the end and Delhi were 20-4 at the end of the 4 overs already.

Marcus Stoinis in the midst of all this started playing terrific shots and was looking in great touch, timing the ball brilliantly and was a ray of hope as he and Pant managed to add 20 more runs to the total before Pant goes all crazy and hit one straight to the long-on fielder's throat when he perished, Delhi were half the side back to the dug out and Axar Patel joins Stoinis in the middle then.

Stoinis continues to play his shots and powering some sixes as well, Axar Patel soon gets into the act. Stoinis takes on Chahar in one of the over at some point around 14th, Delhi started to believe that with these two they stand a chance to make this partnership count but the man of the moment today is Bumrah who comes back into the attack and rattles Stoinis's off stump of the first delivery of the over to see him back to the dug out and in the same over Bumrah's short ball proved too much as Sams went for the pull and feathers an edge through to the keeper and that probably shut the doors closed for Delhi to have any hopes of reaching close to the target.

Axar Patel played a good knock today with almost everything was over he stitched a partnership with Stoinis to keep the hopes alive but when Stoinis departed he didn't have much to do and went on to play his shots and perished later on at the end in the last over.

Mumbai Indians humbled Delhi Capitals today with a clinical performance, they reach their 6th IPL finals and will sit back and wait for that one team that they are going to face on the 10th of November. With the bowling attack that Mumbai possesses it is going to be very hard for any opposition to come good but it was just Mumbai throughout today and they are just going to enjoy and savior the moment.

Delhi Capitals on the other hand stand another chance to make it to the finals and they would be very eager to know who they are going to face on Sunday and probably chalk-out a different strategy in the Qualifier 2, all in all, Delhi has a lot of work cut out before Sunday and they need to look a better team and come out positive!
Presentation Time!

Jasprit Bumrah has been adjudged Man of the Match for his clinical performance with the ball 4/14, his best ever IPL figures!

says, it's ok to not pick up any wickets and winning the tournament, he doesn't look at the wickets, he's been given a role and he wants to execute it well. The yorker to Dhawan was important as he wanted to bowl that and when it comes like that, it feels great. Early wickets up front is important as the dew comes in later on. He says he doesn't too much worry about the end result as whenever he thinks too much about it, it goes downhill. He's happy to bowl in partnership with Bout, they set their plans, fields by discussing with each other and he's a skillful bowler.

Rohit Sharma
says it was their best of the lot as far as the performance is concerned. He was happy with the way de Kock and Surya batted after the early first wicket and took the attack against the opposition and the way they closed out, it was a clinical win for them. There was never a plan, they are different team now and they play according to the merit of the game. de Kock and Surya pushed the momentum towards them and they never wanted to hand it over to opposition and Ishan looks in great form and they want him to stay positive. Talks about Boult, he says he should be ok, he wanted to make sure that things don't get worse so he was out of the field with three days off, he should be ok for the finals coming up. He also says, when you have bowlers like Bumrah and Boult, it makes life easier, they are their top buys for their franchise and come into their plans and execute them to perfection.

Shreyas Iyer
says  he doesn't want to talk anything about what happened tonight and going forward have to come out with solid mindset. He thought they were in the game in those 13 or 14 overs time but then Hardik and Kishan took the game away from them. He thought 170 they could've chased on this wicket and it is part and parcel of the game as it's not everyday you get everything right. Ashwin has been brilliant for them in this game and one of the positives of the game as well as he plays with the mind of the batsman and also offers suggestions to the team. With Hardik and Pollard in that sort of form, it hard to control the game.
Mumbai Indians played like a champion team to today and the one to beat them in the Finals. They've won this encounter convincingly by 57 runs in the end and march into yet another IPL Finals!
Over: 20 | Summary: 2 1w 4 4 1 W 1w 1w 0 Bowler: Kieron Pollard Score: 143/8
19.6 Kieron Pollard to Kagiso Rabada, loopy full delivery on middle and leg stump. Rabada comes onto the front foot before easing it down the ground. That is that then!
19.6 Kieron Pollard to Kagiso Rabada, another one down the leg side and that is another wide! Anti climax!
That would've have been a comedy of errors had Chahar dropped it  at the 4th attempt, but he clings on to it and Axar Patel goes for a very good innings. Nortje is the new man in!
19.6 Kieron Pollard to Kagiso Rabada, slower delivery on a full length outside off stump and that is another wide! Oh dear!
19.5 Kieron Pollard to Axar Patel, OUT! Another slower delivery on a length on off stump and Axar looks to hoick that one over the leg side fence. However, he is way too early into the shot and ends up tugging at it horribly. The ball goes miles up in the air towards deep mid wicket where Rahul Chahar performs his sweet juggling act before holding on!
19.4 Kieron Pollard to Kagiso Rabada, off pace delivery on a length well outside off stump. Rabada comes down the track and chalks his shot down the ground towards long off for one
19.3 Kieron Pollard to Kagiso Rabada, FOUR MORE! Slower delivery on a length outside off stump. Rabada clears his front leg and swats it down the ground over the bowler's head for four
19.2 Kieron Pollard to Kagiso Rabada, FOUR! Banged into the track down the leg side and Rabada helps himself to a boundary! He gets inside the line and pulls it away past deep square leg for four
19.2 Kieron Pollard to Kagiso Rabada, short delivery down the leg side and Pollard will have to bowl that one again!
19.1 Kieron Pollard to Kagiso Rabada, slower bumper on leg stump. Rabada gets inside the line and helps it towards short fine leg where NCN makes a valiant dive but in vain. Rabada gets a couple for his troubles
Good knock this from Axar, it hasn't come for a good cause though as Delhi crashing out of this contest soon. Iyer and co will have to pick themselves from this and come out with a better plan in the Eliminator. Final over coming up and a formality to finish things off for Mumbai.

DC need 72 runs off 6 balls!
