Punjab Kings 221/6 (20 ov)
Rajasthan Royals 217/7 (20 ov)
Punjab Kings won by 4 runs.
Player of the match: Sanju Samson
Well hope you all have got your heart rates back to normal. Keep having to repeat this but what a game of cricket that was, just so brilliant. So many performances worth talking of and the best of them all not enough to take his side home.

That is all we have from this game, a total of 438 runs scored and so much entertainment. The IPL is a gift that keeps giving, so goodbye for now. This is me (Prashanth Satish) signing off on behalf of my partner Shashwat Kumar, it has been a real pressure covering this game. Join us back tomorrow as the Kolkata Knight Riders take on Mumbai Indians.
Sanju Samson( Man of the Match): I think the second part was good, struggled to get rhythm and then I communicated with my partner and decided to take some time and then eventually got my rhythm back later on. Sometimes I get out playing that way but I backed my abilities. It is all about trusting yourself, never doubted myself, I have not made any massive changes from last year but just focused on the process.
KL Rahul: Obviously the heart rate was high. We knew couple of wickets and we will be back in the game. We could have made it easier had we held onto our catches, we dropped sitters including me. We batted well, we bowled really well in patches but need to be more consistent. We want to play the fearless brand of cricket this tournament, that is the pattern we are trying to set we have been a little timid in the past. I have always gone to Arshdeep even last year in couple of crucial situations. Really happy with his execution and skills under pressure.
Take nothing away from that Sanju innings, it is some of the most cleanest hitting you will ever see. Despair on one side and ecstasy on the other side, the beauty of this wonderful competition. We are just four games into the tournament, we have seen some real top quality cricket. Sanju Samson, hold your head high champion. Presentation ceremony in some time from now, stay tuned.
Sanju Samson: I don't have words to tell now, would have loved to finish off the game. I timed it very well(on the last ball), thought it went for six somehow did not go off the park. Catches do go down but there were some good catches as well(On the fielding display from both sides). Told the boys at the halfway mark that the wicket was getting better and we could chase it down if we rely on timing
Goodness me, what a game we have had. Arshdeep Singh has emerged the hero, Sanju Samson walks back distraught, should he have taken the single. That will be debated heavily but Punjab who was behind in the pecking order for a large part of that Samson innings have managed to hold their nerve when it mattered.

Emotions galore, it has been one hell of a game. Punjab vs Rajasthan always give you the most entertaining of games. Two outstanding innings in this contest, both the captains. Sanju getting to a fantastic ton but just falling short in the last hurdle.

I have not managed to hold my breath back, thank you IPL. Game after game, we get magical stuff to witness. The quality of this league is unmatchable, what a tournament.
Over: 20 | Summary: 0 1 1 6 0 W Bowler: Arshdeep Singh Score: 217/7
19.6 Arshdeep Singh to Sanju Samson, OUT! ARSHDEEP YOU BEAUTY! Length delivery slanted across the batsman outside off stump. Samson goes deep into his crease and for the first time on the night, mistimes a shot. THe ball goes miles up in the air towards deep extra cover, where the fielder comes around and holds onto the most pressurizing of catches!
Goodness me Sanju has denied the single here, is that a brain fade or a master stroke? Oh my, very strange reactions everywhere around the dugout. 5 off 1 ball!
19.5 Arshdeep Singh to Sanju Samson, DRAMA  AT THE WANKHEDE! Full delivery outside off stump. Samson goes deep into his crease and bangs that one down the ground towards deep extra cover. Denies the single then!
Sanju Samson, you ripper. What a shot under pressure that, 5 off 2 now
19.4 Arshdeep Singh to Sanju Samson, SIX! BANG! Right in the slot outside off stump. Samson goes deep into his crease and creams that one way over wide long off for another maximum!
11 off 3, they need a big shot this delivery. Can Samson hit this one out?
19.3 Arshdeep Singh to Chris Morris, low full toss outside off stump. Morris gets onto the front foot and drives that one straight to the fielder in the ring at extra cover. Gayle goes down in instalments but holds onto the ball!
Excellent result this for Punjab off the last ball, the single given only and more importantly Samson is off strike.
19.2 Arshdeep Singh to Sanju Samson, length delivery outside off stump. Samson throws his bat at it and slices the ball towards the sweeper at deep point for just a single. Morris on strike!
Good start to the over from Arshdeep, 13 needed off 5 now! It's getting really tense out there.
19.1 Arshdeep Singh to Sanju Samson, length delivery slanted across the batsman outside off stump. Samson tries to reach it but fails to do so as the ball fizzes through to the keeper
Oh what a contest we have had so far, it is going down to the wire. 13 needed now off the last over, can Sanju steer his side home or will Arshdeep Singh hold his nerve? All to play for here, fasten your seatbelts lads, this is not for the faint hearted.
