Kane Williamson has been adjudged as the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 44-ball 50* knock. Williamson was instrumental with the bat in hand and weathered the storm after the loss of a few quick wickets. His half-century coupled with Jason Holder's 20-ball 24 saw them over the line in this crucial encounter!
Skipper's Comments:

Virat Kohli (RCB): If you talk about the first innings I don't think we had enough runs on the board. We made one helluva game in the second half, the positions we got ourselves into in the second half.. It is a game of margins and if Kane was taken there then it is a different ball game. Altogether they put us under a lot of pressure in the first innings. Few soft dismissals, few fortunate ones for them as well and we just didn't have enough runs on the board. Maybe a bit of nerves, maybe a bit of hesitation, we need to be more expressive with the bat. We didn't have any phases in the game where we got away from the opposition. We just allowed bowlers to bowl to the areas they wanted to and didn't put enough pressure on them. In the last 2-3 games we have hit it straight to the fielders, lot of good shots going to the fielders. It has been a strange kind of phase in the last 4-5 games. Couple of people have stood and had a good season, Devdutt is one of them and Siraj has had a good comeback. Yuzi has been solid as ever, AB has been solid as ever. Couple of positives for RCB and Devdutt is one of them, he stepped up nicely and getting 400+ runs is not easy. He has played with a lot of class and efficiency for the team. Very happy for him. The others contributed but just not enough. That also tells you the strength of the teams in the IPL, no team is run away favourites as such and every team has strong players, one of the other reasons is playing in only three venues and there's no home and away advantage. Similar conditions for everyone and that's the reason this has been one of the competitive IPL this year. It was amazing to have had this opportunity to come out and play. There's a bigger picture going around here and we are all contributing to that. To all our fans who have supported us like every year, we just want to thank them.

David Warner (SRH): As we knew we had to beat top three teams to make it into the play-offs. My nails are ok for the moment. They have been of great impact for us. We like to bowl Sandy and Holder five overs at the top. Then we try to bowl Rashid and Natarajan in the middle overs. Rashid has a lot of pressure on him to perform. Congratulations to Natarajan. Kane is our banker. He manages to stick in there and plays the pressure innings. With the class of the batting line up, you knew that wicket had something in it. The boys bowled fantastically well in the middle overs. It is too early to say. We obviously have Delhi to play. We have been talking about their world class bowling side. But I am excited.
Sunrisers Hyderabad beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets and advance to Qualifier 2

Chasing 132 runs, SRH got off to quite a decent start. Shreevats Goswami nicked one to the keeper off the third delivery that he faced and had to depart for a duck. David Warner plundered a few boundaries, before a sharp inswinger by Siraj got the better of him, sending him back for a run-a-ball 17.

Manish Pandey steadies the ship and scored a quick 21-ball 24 before he edged one into the gloves of ABD, who pouched it with glee. Priyam Garg could not make most of his opportunities in this contest and played a painstakingly slow 14-ball 7 knock, which was ended by Yuzvendra Chahal. SRH seems to be in trouble at this stage but it was Williamson, who kept his cool, and steered the side to victory.

Kane Williamson then joined hands with Jason Holder and the duo stitched together a wonderful 65-run partnership, which saw them over the line in the end. The RCB spinners dominated the proceedings in the middle-overs and kept RCB on top for a majority of the contest. The SRH batsmen found it tough to get them away and had to settle for just singles and doubles.

However, instead of going for the big shots, Williamson and Holder patiently played out the middle overs and went after the bowlers at the death. Kane Williamson finished unbeaten for a 44-ball 50 while Jason Holder played second-fiddle and he too finished unbeaten for a 20-ball 24 and finished the match by whacking two boundaries.

Mohammed Siraj picked up a couple of wickets and returned with figures of 2-28 from his four overs. Adam Zampa and Yuzvendra Chahal chipped in with a wicket each while also bowling economical spells, something that went in vain as SRH emerged victorious in the end.
19.4 Navdeep Saini to Jason Holder, FOUR! THAT IS THAT THEN! SRH INTO THE QUALIFIER! Low full toss outside off stump and the width allows Holder to get his hands through the ball and scythe it past backward point for four!
19.3 Navdeep Saini to Jason Holder, FOUR! SHOT! Right in the slot outside off stump and Holder sits deep in his crease before creaming it past extra cover and long off for a boundary! 4 off 3 now!
19.2 Navdeep Saini to Jason Holder, wide yorker well outside off stump. Holder looks to flay it over the off side but is late on the stroke as the ball fizzes past the outside edge. Dot ball! Oh my!
19.1 Navdeep Saini to Kane Williamson, full delivery outside off stump. Williamson clears his front leg and drives it towards the sweeper on the fence at point for another single. Holder has to find the fence now!
Mohammed Siraj is entrusted with bowling the nineteenth over but cannot stem the flow of runs. Jason Holder swings hard at the second delivery and slices that over third man for a boundary. A scoop by Williamson allows SRH to chip two runs away from the target, while the run three singles as well. 9 runs off that over!

SRH need 9 runs from the final over

Navdeep Saini to bowl!

18.6 Mohammed Siraj to Kane Williamson, full delivery outside off stump. Williamson goes way across his stumps again and ramps it to the left of the fielder at short fine leg for just a single
18.5 Mohammed Siraj to Kane Williamson, low full toss just outside off stump. Williamson backs away and looks to access the off side but only manages to shank it straight back to the bowler
18.4 Mohammed Siraj to Kane Williamson, full delivery outside off stump. Williamson shuffles across his crease and unfurls the ramp shot. He does not nail it to perfection but still gets a couple as he beats short fine leg
18.3 Mohammed Siraj to Jason Holder, excellent yorker on middle and leg stump. Holder walks across his stumps and drills it down the ground towards long on for a single. Right then! Over to you, Kane!
18.2 Mohammed Siraj to Jason Holder, FOUR! Length delivery outside off stump and Holder throws the kitchen sink at it! He does not quite get it off the middle but manages to slash it off the outside edge over short third man for four
18.1 Mohammed Siraj to Kane Williamson, full delivery just outside off stump. Williamson looks to whip that one into the leg side but squirts it off the inside edge towards short fine leg for just a single
Navdeep Saini is brought back into the attack to bowl the eighteenth over and ends up bowling quite an expensive one. An uppish flick on the second delivery of the over but Padikkal cannot hold onto that. A deft touch by Williamson fetches him a boundary off the fourth delivery. A brace and four singles allow SRH to score 10 runs off it! RCB will desperately be looking for a wicket here to make a comeback into this contest!

SRH need 18 runs off the last 2 overs

Mohammed Siraj to bowl the penultimate over!
