That would be all from our side as we draw curtains on our live coverage of this 'The Hundred' game between Birmingham Phoenix and Southern Brave. For now, it's Soumarya Dutta signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Meeth Agrawal. See you soon!
Michael Bracewell (Player of the Match): It was a complete performance from us today. We played some really great cricket, and it's nice to get another win. We spoke a lot about our spin group and trying to bowl to the wicket. It's a big ground, and we wanted to make them hit against the breeze. The crowd here in The Hundred has been fantastic. Good support from the fans. England has a long history of cricket, and it's amazing to play in front of such passionate fans. It's been a beautiful day, and we're really happy with the result.
Raghav Beniwal: "Liam Livingstone wasn't up to the mark with his captaincy. He didn't bring Bethell early on and didn't use Adam Milne at a time when it could have been useful."
Southern Brave 109/1 in 81 balls
Leus du Plooy 48*(39) | Benny Howell 1/17 James Vince 41(30)
An absolutely EMPHATIC win for the Southern Brave as they've taken this game with 19 balls to go and 9 wickets left in the kitty. They've done themselves a world of good with regards to the net run rate in the process. Leus du Plooy finished off with 48 from 39 balls and he was a bit unlucky to miss out on his 50 by just two runs in the end. Jason Roy came in with minimal pressure and played some crisp strokes to showcase his skill.
du Plooy and James Vince played with smartness and conviction in the opening few overs and got their eyes in. They didn't look to do anything extravagant and just made sure that they were on par with the run rate required. 28 runs came from the powerplay as the three Kiwi fast bowlers- Milne, Southee and Boult struggled to get the breakthrough. They didn't go for too many runs but the wickets evaded them as the opening stand continued to grow.
James Vince slowed down for a bit after the powerplay but he was dropped and he made most of it as he got to 41 with a flurry of boundaries. Benny Howell did pick up his wicket but by that time the game was already in the control of the Southern Brave. They needed 32 runs from 40 balls at that stage and Leus du Plooy was well set at the crease.
The real difference between the bowling of the two sides turned out to be the spinners in the end. Michael Bracewell was outstanding as he had picked up three wickets and Coles supported him well with a wicket. The Phoenix had two all-rounders in Bethell and Livingstone but they weren't even half as good as the Brave spinners.
Southern Brave win by 9 wickets with 19 balls to spare!
16.1 Tim Southee to Leus du Plooy, FOUR!!! DONE AND DUSTED!!! Banged in short and on the off, Plooy dances down the track, gets on top of the bounce and pulls it flat and hard in the gap at deep mid wicket. An easy nine wicket win for Southern Brave.
Adam Milne was impressive early on but Livingstone brought him back too late. He should have bowled out in the first half of the innings when there was a still a chance for the Phoenix. Just two runs to win now for the Brave.
16.0
15.5 Adam Milne to Leus du Plooy, IN THE AIR BUT FALLS SHORT!!! Short ball wide outside off, Plooy wanted to pull it across, gets a top edge. Balls flies high but lands safely in no man's land at mid wicket.
15.4 Adam Milne to Leus du Plooy, back of a length outside off, Plooy inside edges on the cut. The balls stays on the pitch.
15.3 Adam Milne to Jason Roy, length delivery on the pads, Roy advances and flicks it behind to fine leg for one.
Southern Brave (Men) Scored 100 runs in 15.2 overs
15.2 Adam Milne to Jason Roy, FOUR!!! 100 up for the Braves with that. Good length on the stumps, Roy charges down the track and swings it across flat to deep mid wicket for a bounday. 4 more needed now.
15.1 Adam Milne to Jason Roy, good length angling down on the pads, beats Roy and hits the back pad.
Adam Milne [2.0-0-7-0] comes back into the attack.
Jacob Bethell was finally brought into the attack but it was a bit too late. Jason Roy is looking good at the crease and the Brave need just 8 runs to win now. du Plooy would be looking to get to his milestone if possible.

14.4 Jacob Bethell to Jason Roy, good length on the off, cut away on back foot to short covers.
