Dimuth Karunaratne Sri Lanka Skipper as well as the Man of the Series: Yea I think we playing together and as a captain, I had to do well as I was short of runs. This was the right time to put the hand up and get some runs on the board. Other batters did well as well and it was an all-round performance nonetheless. Coming from the West Indies I was very positive, I had a talk with the coach and he said that I just need to give a couple of overs to the before settling in and playing the big innings. Yes, it really tough you know during the first test, we had faith that we can put up a huge score and have confidence in our youngsters to get the wickets. The spinners really bowled well, they now need to play the test matches regularly and build confidence as well as experience.
Mominul Haque Bangladesh Skipper: Yea I think in test matches the important thing was the toss, as you can see in both the test matches the first two days had nothing on offer for us. The conditions are very similar to Bangladesh and like I said toss is very crucial. When you represent your country at the international level there is always pressure. I think we did well in the first test, in the second test we just could not execute with the bat which probably cost us the game.
Praveen Jayawickrama (Man of the Match): He feels extremely happy as it was his dream and his family as well wanted and hoped that he played for Sri Lanka one day. The team helped to get through the pressure and nerves that I was feeling and I am very thankful to them.

Praveen has joined an elite list of players becoming the 4th player in Test history to pick up a 10 wicket hall on test debut. Bangladesh on the other hand have a lot of thinking to do, they have made their presence felt but are just not able to break the shackles just yet to make an impact.
Just in the following over, Praveen gets the remaining two wickets in the following over and registers a FIVE-FOR!! Mehidy tried to lap a ball and guide it towards fine leg but the short leg fielder did well move early and catch it. The last man was caught plumb in front of the stumps and ending this test match.
Taskin and Mehidy at the other end worked the ball around and were starting to build the partnership. The duo survived for around six more overs but the spinner continued to dominate as Mendis got the wicket of Taskin who tried to take him on and slog him but was caught by the fielder in the 70th over.
Sri Lanka finally made a bowling change and it just did the trick as Taijul played a loose shot as he tried to fish for a ball that was way outside off and under-edged it to the keeper. Taskin was the new batsman in for Bangladesh
Mehidy just decided to take on the attack rather than blocking the ball the entire day and started to hit the ball to all parts of the ground to get the score moving as well. Islam batting at the other end with Mehidy did well to fend off the balls and was looking confident as the innings progressed.
Coming into the final day, the Sri Lankan spinner took an over each to warm themselves up. Praveen in his second over of the day strike as he got the wicket of Liton batting on just 17 runs. Mehidy was the last proper batsman left now as Sri Lanka had managed to enter the Bangladesh tail-enders.
Sri Lanka wins this test match and this series! 11 wickets for the left-arm spinner Praveen on debut in this test match. He continues to have a dream debut indeed. What an over that was, Praveen manages to get a couple of wickets in that over and raps up this test match.

70.6 Praveen Jayawickrama to Abu Jayed, OUT! LBW! ALL OVER FOR BANGLADESH! Sri Lanka take the series and win the game by 209 runs. Good length into Abu as he's neither here nor nether caught dead in front as he looks to get his bat in line but misses, hits the back leg and he's a goner. Praveen finishes the game with 11 wickets, FIFER in both the innings and what a test match he's had!

Abu Jayed goes for the review! Ultra edge shows no spike as the ball passes the bat. Ball tracking has THREE REDS and plumb in front!
70.5 Praveen Jayawickrama to Abu Jayed, good length into Abu on the middle and off as he presses forward and then defends it on the off-side
70.4 Praveen Jayawickrama to Abu Jayed, good length spinning away on the outside off as Abu prods forward to defend it but no where near to the pitch of the ball
Abu Jayed the last man comes out to bat in the middle for Bangladesh! He will be on strike
70.3 Praveen Jayawickrama to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, OUT! CAUGHT! MY GOODNESS! That was a blinder from Pathum and Mehidy cannot believe it. What anticipation from the short-leg fielder. Flighted delivery, good length down the middle and leg line as Mehidy looks to paddle sweep it but short-leg fielder moves across and then holds on to it. Praveen picks up his 10th wicket of the game!
70.2 Praveen Jayawickrama to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, marginally short on the off-stump as Mehidy on the backfoot has a gentle punch towards short cover
70.1 Praveen Jayawickrama to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, good length on the off-stump as Mehidy leans into it and then defends but takes the outside edge towards second slip for no run
