That has been myself ( Rishab) and my partner Pratyush as we take your leave until next time. Lots more Test cricket lined up in the near future and we shall be there, back again, bringing you all the action. Have a great evening folks!
For most of the time it really never looked like either of the teams were significantly ahead of each other during the three days but England really coming out on top on Day 4 to dominate this Test and win it eventually. They came out to bowl really well and bundled Lanka out quick, of course, the batsmen lacked application and patience, making it easy for the English spinners who were getting some real good turn and bounce off the surface. They then came out to bat really well under pressure in that chase. The way Sibley and Buttler took England through showing patience, that the Lankan batsmen lacked.
Sri Lanka ahead by 37 runs would have felt they were ahead in this game but they put up a really disappointing show with the bat. They could pick no more than four wickets as England romped home comfortably in the end. Some lessons to learn as their batsmen went to attack and threw their wickets away. Embuldeniya did really well with the ball but it wasn't enough to get them over the line. Their spinners failed to keep up the pressure as Buttler and Sibley played them with great control right till the end. Lots of thinking to do for the Lankan camp  going ahead after a 2-nil home series defeat!
It is probably fair to say that Sri Lanka were almost out of this game when they were bundled out cheaply in their second innings! Just not enough runs for them to defend and in the end a hard fought series win for England. Sri Lanka did seem to be in with a tiny little chance though when they got Root out and had England four down in quick time. But it was Sibley and Buttler who batted England through that pressure period and putting together a match and series winning partnership! Sibley in particular with an unbeaten half-century and that will do his confidence tons of good going ahead!
Joe Root ( Winning Captain), England : It was a fine performance this game to come out on top having lost the toss on a wicket which for majority of the game i think we had the worst part of. It was testament to the character of the boys, the determination, patience they way we took to the task. In the first innings we were outstanding with the ball and then in that second innings and backend, it was about dealing with pressure.

Number of guys in a very difficult situation, difficult run-chase, showed a lot of maturity, calmness and poise to see us home and a pretty way to finish the series.

( on plans coming into Day 4) We knew that we wanted to try and get as close as possible and as a group and ultimately when we came to bowl to create a bit of chaos to try and make it difficult for Sri Lanka to score boundaries. We knew if we could build pressure and try and really squeeze the game then we could create chances and opportunities on that surface and thankfully that worked out very well for us.

There were certainly some difficult balls to deal with. The one thing I'm really proud of is our group how calm they were, how clear we were as to how we were going to score our runs on that wicket and in that chase. Credit to our bowlers as well. They put Sri Lanka under huge amount of pressure in periods and made it difficult for them to try and figure out how they were going to score their runs.
Dinesh Chandimal (Captain), Sri Lanka: We were outplayed today. We had done all the hard-work the last three days but as a batting unit we did the same mistake what we did in in the first Test on the first day. There's no excuses for the batsmen and we have to learn how to bat like (Joe) Root. He was outstanding and we have to be patient. That is the key when it comes to batting.

We did well in patches but it's not good enough especially when you are playing a good team like England, we have to do well everyday. Credit goes to England. They have done tremendously well.

( on what went wrong in the second innings) I played a rash shot and i take that responsibility. In our batting unit no one took responsibility. If they did we could have gotten to 250 plus that would be a good total on this pitch. As a batting unit we have to step up. Going forward we have to learn how to bat with patience and I'm sure our guys will learn in those areas and they will come back strongly.

(on Embuldeniya) He was outstanding throughout the series. He is doing all the hard-work in practice and always asks how to improve when he bats or bowls. I'm sure he will be a good asset going forward for Sri Lanka cricket.
It's 2-nil for England and their sixth consecutive win in Sri Lanka! Both Buttler and Sibley staying unbeaten and it has been a terrific partnership from them to take England home with pretty much of ease and an entire day to spare! It's been a brilliant performance from them and they will be mighty pleased to have a clean sweep in Asia.
Over: 44 | Summary: 1 1 1 Bowler: Dilruwan Perera Score: 0/0
43.3 Dilruwan Perera to Dom Sibley, full delivery on middle stump, Sibley tucks it towards deep midwicket to get the run which seals the series for England!

England win the game by 6 wickets and take the series, 2-0.
43.2 Dilruwan Perera to Jos Butler, full delivery on off stump, Butler plays the reverse paddle to get a single towards point
Nice and cheeky from Sibley and the target is into single digits now for England! And Buttler definitely looks in a hurry to finish it off now. He's also closing in on a half-century but it's Sibley who'll keep strike. Just required now and England are one hit away!

43.1 Dilruwan Perera to Dom Sibley, full delivery on the middle stump, Sibley tucks it towards deep midwicket, to get a single

42.5 Lasith Embuldeniya to Jos Butler, slightly short on off stump, Butler rocks on the backfoot to cut it towards deep cover, for a single
42.4 Lasith Embuldeniya to Jos Butler, full delivery on middle stump, Butler is happy to tap that back to the bowler

42.1 Lasith Embuldeniya to Dom Sibley, full delivery on middle stump, Sibley strides forward to present the makers name to that one
Sibley has shown real good patience and even as the target is so close, he's showing no hurry. He'll finally get one through for his third Test fifty and it's been a brilliant one which is certainly in a winning cause for England! He's not allowed any bowler to get him under pressure and it's been a very well compiled innings this! 12 more to get.
