So the washout has meant that Sunrisers Hyderabad have qualified for the playoffs but the chances of qualifying as the top two teams doesn't remain in their hands. Sunrisers will now hope to win their final group game against the Punjab Kings and hope Rajasthan Royals loses their final match against KKR. For Gujarat, rain followed them for the last two matches but they didn't have any realistic chances of going through even if they won these two matches convincingly. It was a long wait for all of us, a frustrating one but this is how it goes. So that's it from a gloomy evening which spread over the night. Hopefully the weather gods have something different in store tomorrow. It will be the Mumbai Indians the Lucknow Supergiants who will square off against each other tomorrow, hoping to finish off their campaigns on a high. Do join us then and for many more sporting actions but for now this is me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off also on behalf of my fellow commentator Shashwat Kumar. Goodnight! Cheers!

09:42 PM local time: Nothing new to report from the ground. It continues to rain and the chances of match is getting slim with each passing minute. The groundsmen need atleast 20-30 minutes to make the ground match ready.
9:23 PM local time: A fresh update and it's not a good one - the rain has gotten heavier. There's some lightning in the background too and dare we say this could be the last straw today!
Anuska: "Guys, with this being the third match getting delayed due to the rain, what are your thoughts on how the weather is going to effect the upcoming crucial matches of this season?"
-Good question Anuska but you can't control Mother Nature. After the massive heatwave all through the country, the rain has come as a huge relief for people all around India but yes it has affected the latter half of the IPL matches. There is rain predicted for the all-important RCB-CSK clash as well. But you never know, it might be all clear in the upcoming days.
