MATCH TIED and Kolkata Knight Riders won the Super-Over!

Well, well, well, what a match it turned out to be in the end, it was a game of sea-saw battle. Lockie Ferguson's heroics saw Kolkata Knight Riders get over the line in the Super-Over. It was the 3rd Super-Over of this season and we're not sure how many more we're going to get to see, that's enthralling this IPL 2020 has been so far.

At the beginning of the run chase it was Sunrisers who were in the driving seat through out the first half of this innings and then when Ferguson was introduced it turned the tide for them with 3 wickets to peg back the chase for Sunrisers and then comes back at the death to finish things off brilliantly. Morgan took the gamble to throw the ball to Russell who was struggling with hamstring, he comes back to bowl the 20th and he just couldn't deliver and Warner took advantage of his fitness and smashed him for 3 consecutive boundaries but Russell bowls a good last ball and Warner fails to get any bat on that, they get only a single in the end, that goes to the Super-Over!

In the Super-Over it was all Lockie Ferguson's show once again, castles Warner of the first ball and Samad of the 3rd ball, it was all over Sunrisers as they got only 2 runs to defend. Morgan and Karthik comes in and works Rashid around to get those 3 runs easily and it feels like they got out of the jail at the last second.

Earlier in the innings at the start, Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson started off briskly, it was a treat to the eyes when Williamson is in full flow, he was struggling with hamstring as well but that didn't stop him from playing those crisp drives and punches of backfoot for boundaries, both of them scored 58 runs off powerplay and that set the tone for the chase but it soon turned out to be all different when Ferguson was introduced into the attack, he picks up Williamson first and then soon after Priyam Garg goes for a death-rattle from him, in the next over Bairstow perishes as well trying to launch Varun over long off but has no timing and holds out.

Manish Pandey comes in but Ferguson was just too good for him as the yorker was pin point and smashed his off stump as he hear the death-rattle at the end. Sunrisers were looking down the barrel as Ferguson brought Knight Riders back in the game big time. Vijay Shankar doesn't repeat his magic with the bat and he perishes soon as well.

Warner next was joined by Abdul Samad who struck crucial boundaries and a maximum at the end to take them closer to the target but some brilliant reflexes from Ferguson at the deep ensured he was sent back to the dug-out and we all know what happened there after Sunrisers just couldn't win those crucial moments of the game, probably Warner should've finished things off of the last ball considering how Russell was struggling but at the end it looked like it was supposed to Ferguson's day as he comes back in the Super-Over to win this for their team.

Much needed win for Knight Riders as they climb above Sunrisers Hyderabad in the points table and sit nicely in the 4th spot with 10 points and the next few games will be crucial, with the back of Ferguson into the XI, things are already looking good for them to make it to the play-offs, but their batting unit should come together if they need to win against stronger teams. Sunrisers have lot to ponder upon from today's performance, Warner choice of going to bat second will be questioned and their bowling looked out of sorts during the middle overs and didn't finish well at the end. They'll look to sort out that in the next game and it's a must win game for them.
Time for presentation!

Lockie Ferguson has been adjudged the Man of the Match!

says getting Warner's wicket in the Super-Over probably the best part of this game for him. He says, it's great to have Morgan as the captain, he's calm and composed and allowed him to work on his game plan throughout. It was a good effort from the bowling unit after the batsman posted that decent total on the board and they'll enjoy the win tonight.

Eoin Morgan at the presentation, talks about how Lockie took this opportunity from both the hands and delivered it for them today, to wait for it and to come in and perform like that is outstanding. They've been sort looking to get a win from the last couple of games but things didn't work out against Mumbai, they are a strong unit. Russell went off the field and he thought he was injured but the courage he showed to come back and bowl the last, didn't work out the way he wanted but he just got them into Super Over and he's a superstar player for them.

Warner says, he doesn't know where to start. They gave away too many runs up front and at the back end of the innings. It was all about finishing the games, today wasn't that particular day and they failed to do it on 2-3 occasions in this season. They lost wickets at crucial junctures. Kane had to open as he had slight niggle and the physio needs to work on that.
All over, the fielder at short fine leg fumbled and Karthik comes back for the second, as easy as it gets for Knight Riders, what a turnaround for them, Russell almost let this one go in that final over but Ferguson, what a match he's had, 2 wickets in the Super-Over!

Kolkata Knight Riders win this Super-Over and win the match!
0.4 Rashid Khan to Dinesh Karthik, length ball turning into the right-hander, tries to flick but misses and gets it off the thigh pad. A bit of fumble by Sandeep Sharma at short fineleg allows them the second. And that's the game!
0.3 Rashid Khan to Dinesh Karthik, length ball on the pads, defended on the on-side. Dot ball
0.2 Rashid Khan to Eoin Morgan, length delivery, sweeps it to deep square leg. Morgan wants to come back for the second, but Karthik sends him back
0.1 Rashid Khan to Eoin Morgan, flighted delivery, goes for the reverse sweep but hits it straight to short thirdman

Rashid Khan to bowl for Sunrisers and Knight Riders have Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik walking in!
Almost over for Sunrisers here, Ferguson's day is getting better and better. He literally almost have won this match single-handedly for Knight Riders!

Knight Riders openers have just 3 to get off the SUPER-OVER!
0.3 Lockie Ferguson to Abdul Samad, OUT! THAT'S IT! Loopy slower ball from Ferguson, completely foxes Samad who goes for a huge heave. The ball rattles the middle-stump!
0.2 Lockie Ferguson to Abdul Samad, sharp back of a length delivery, he has a swat at it but gets it on the splice straight down the ground. They scamper through for the second
OH MY WORD! Warner goes, he was the man that should've finished it off for Sunrisers and look where they are now! Samad is here now!
0.1 Lockie Ferguson to David Warner, OUT! WOULD YOU BELIEVE IT! Length ball pitching on leg and angling away, Warner tries to play it late to the thirman area but misses it. The ball crashes onto the top of off!
Ferguson is ready and Warner to take strike in this SUPER-OVER!
Ferguson to bowl for Knight Riders and Sunrisers team are still in discussion to send who into the middle!

Warner seems to be ready in the dugout. Have to see who his partner would be and it would be his usual partner Bairstow to join him!
We're having the SUPER OVER folks! WOW, Warner failed to get any bat on that last delivery!
19.6 Andre Russell to David Warner, length ball on the stumps, Warner misses and gets wrapped on the pads but takes a single. We have a tie here and going into the SUPER OVER!
