Pitch Report
There are some grassy areas but some bald as well. It could be a bit tacky and offer double pace which could be difficult for the batters. There are some cracks in the centre of the pitch which is covered by grass. Hopefully it doesn't create uneven bounce.

That brings us to the end of our coverage for this CPL encounter. TKR got back on track after losing the previous game and have given themselves more than a fair chance of qualifying in the top two. Like always, it was a pleasure bringing all the live updates from this encounter. Till the next time, this is myself (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) biding adieu.
Kieron Pollard (Trinbago Knight Riders captain): Yeah obviously it was disappointing last game. The conditions today were very good for batting. No, obviously we practiced there last night. It goes to show that when you give batters good pitches, they tend to express themselves but when the pitch isn't that good, you have to play smart cricket. Very happy with Roy’s performance. He hadn't really produced much for us. That's the nature of having experienced guys and understand the dynamic of the game. We wanted to give him the confidence on a good batting pitch. Fantastic crowd response again. Can't thank them enough to come out in large numbers. Sea of red, a couple of more games to go and hopefully we can give them many more moments to cheer.
Andre Fletcher (St Kitts and Nevis Patriots captain): Yeah I am well pleased to be honest. People tend to remember the last thing to do. I am happy to put on a great score for my team but unfortunately, we couldn't get over the line but these things happen in cricket. Kyle batted brilliantly and I can't ask more from the bowlers. They executed their plans but dropping five catches, it's poor which has resulted in us losing quite a few matches. Knowing that it was a bit tough on us to lose, we wanted to keep the focus. We had team bonding but sometimes when team lose, they tend to fall apart which wasn't the case with our team. The results unfortunately weren't quite there. Apologies to the Patriots fans. Hopefully next year it will be better.
Nicholas Pooran is the Player of the Match, here is what he had to say: It's a really nice feeling. The crowd was fantastic and it was great to get over the line. I can't remember when I got so many chances in a game. I always want to stay till the end. Apart from the first game, I couldn't quite contribute for my team. Thankfully it came off today. We always have good partnerships. Pollard gave me the energy which was required to finish the game off.
Trinbago Knight Riders won by 7 wickets (with 9 deliveries to spare)
Nicholas Pooran 93*(43) | Chris Jordan 2/29(4) Andre Fletcher 93(61) | Kyle Mayers 1/26(3)
Nicholas Pooran led a charmed life, getting dropped four times but in the end, he managed to get their side over the finish line. The Trinbago Knight Riders also scripted history by chasing down the biggest target at this ground. In the end, it turned out to be a relatively straightforward run chase for TKR, chasing it down with 9 deliveries to spare.
It was Jason Roy and Keacy Carty who came out to open the innings. Both batters took a bit of time at the start and ensured that they didn't lose a wicket up until the 6th over. Roy in particular was the aggressor among the duo and kept finding boundaries and sixes at will. Carty was dismissed by Kyle Mayers as he tried to clear the midwicket fence.
Out came Nicholas Pooran at No 3 and started taking the bowlers on right from the outset. Roy also continued in his merry way and went onto register his maiden CPL fifty. He was eventually dismissed by Tabraiz Shamsi but by then, the Knight Riders were well in control of the run chase. The Patriots bowlers made a good comeback, conceding just 15 runs from 18 deliveries in the middle overs.
The pressure was back on TKR which prompted Pooran to play the big shots and he got lucky on as many as four occasions. Tim David was sent up the order but couldn't quite make a significant impact. Pollard was the next man in and smashed a six to announce his arrival in the crease. It was Nicholas Pooran who turned the tide in TKR’s favour smashing an unbeaten 93 off 43 deliveries which included 6 fours and 7 sixes.
18.3 Josh Clarkson to Nicholas Pooran, SIX! That's game set and match for the Trinbago Knight Riders. A pace-off low full toss outside off, Pooran waits for it and launches it back over the bowler's head, comfortably /clearing the long on fence. TKR wins by 7 wickets.
18.2 Josh Clarkson to Nicholas Pooran, FOUR! Pace-off fuller-length delivery a shade outside off, Pooran hacks it across the line, squeezed off the inside half of the bat but had enough to find the boundary towards square leg. Just 3 more needed.
18.2 Josh Clarkson to Nicholas Pooran, Pooran moves across off, goes slashing at that full one well outside off. Pooran goes flashing at that but doesn't make contact, has been called a wide.
18.1 Josh Clarkson to Kieron Pollard, pace-off fuller-length delivery a shade outside off, pushed away down the ground towards the long-on region for a single.
Josh Clarkson [1-0-16-0] is back into the attack.

17.6 Anrich Nortje to Kieron Pollard, fuller-length delivery around the middle stump, flicks this away towards the deep midwicket fielder for a single. 9 required off 12 deliveries.
17.5 Anrich Nortje to Kieron Pollard, pace-on fuller-length delivery on the pads, Pollard misses out on the flick.
17.4 Anrich Nortje to Nicholas Pooran, pace-on full delivery around the middle stump, Pooran opens the bat face to steer it away towards the deep cover-point fielder for a single.
17.3 Anrich Nortje to Nicholas Pooran, SIX! This is carnage from Nicholas Pooran. A pace-on slot delivery around middle and off, Pooran clears his front leg and strikes this clean as a whistle, sends that well over the long-on fence. 11 more needed.
17.2 Anrich Nortje to Nicholas Pooran, SIX! That's a juicy full toss from Nortje which gets the treatment. Around the middle stump channel, just over the knee and that has been swiped across the line, sends it well over the square leg fence.
17.1 Anrich Nortje to Nicholas Pooran, FOUR! Full-length delivery well wide outside off, Pooran opens the bat face and flays it away over the point region and that skips away to the fence.

0/47
16.6 Jeremiah Louis to Nicholas Pooran, slowish on a good-length a shade outside off, Pooran tries to launch it down the ground, squeezed off the inside edge towards the on side and a single taken.
16.5 Jeremiah Louis to Kieron Pollard, pace-off fuller-length delivery a shade outside off, Pollard went for a repeat dose but didn't get it from the centre of the bat, more from the inside half of the bat and the deep midwicket fielder does well to keep it to a single.
