While India have the momentum going into the 5th T20I, Rovman Powell was clear with his words as to who the favourites are in a deciding encounter! Hardik Pandya [India captain]: There are more Indians at this ground. The way they have been supporting us, they've been coming up in numbers, they're out there for us to give some entertainment. (On the opening partnership) Brilliant. As we've seen, no doubt in their skillset. It was a matter of spending time in the middle for the two of them. Going forward, I believe we will have to take responsibility as a batting group and help out our bowlers. Bowlers win matches as well, if they can get you a couple of wickets, that can help win a game. They got some runs in the end, but the couple of wickets that we took in the middle harmed them, and then, of course, Shubman and Yashasvi were brilliant. The way they ran in this heat, making sure that the job was done, was brilliant. It was very pleasing to see. I like to captain how I see the game. It's about how the game is going, and I like to go with my instincts. We lost two games, but the first game was down to our errors. At the end, in the last four overs, we messed it up and didn't cross the line. We did much different in the next two games. We spoke in the group that these are the games which you step up and show character. Boys took it to their stride, they were happy to take up the challenge. No one's a favourite in T20 cricket, one has to respect the opposition. We aim to turn up tomorrow, and repeat exactly what we did today.

Rovman Powell [West Indies captain]: It's a pretty good batting surface, but we were short of 10-15 runs and Hetmyer, Hope played well for us. There's quality bowling in the unit, we didn't stick to our plans, no matter who bowls if you don't stick to your plans, you always falter. From the start of the series, it always comes down to how we bat in the middle overs, we need to improve and bat well against spin. It's just series 2-2, it's all about the team that plays well on the day and we will try and put up a good performance tomorrow.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: It's not easy at all, I'm too happy to go out and express myself. I'd like to thank the team management, support staff and Hardik, they have shown faith in me, shows so much impact in my mind. I just try to play depending on what team needs, also try to express myself and depends on how many shots I can play in the powerplay, put the intent ahead and how I can take the game deep and intent is to score runs always. I have played a lot with Holder, McCoy, I can read them better and I was ready. Amazing to bat with Gill, he batted really and rotating the strike and all. Want to thank the crowd to come out in huge numbers to support us.

A clinical batting display help India make a mockery of the total of 178 set by the West Indies. In the end, the absence of a quality wrist-spinner or two in the West Indies line-up might have had a major role to play - India's slow bowlers were the ones who had the most impact early on! The idea to back Yashasvi Jaiswal up the order in T20Is paid off handsomely - the 21-year-old produced an innings of sheer class, and alongside Shubman Gill, stitched the joint-highest opening partnership for India in T20 Internationals while at it!

The West Indies pacers did find some help off the wicket initially. The ball kicked off the deck, and stopped before going onto the bat on occasions. However, there was the odd wide delivery or two in each over, and Yashasvi Jaiswal took full toll of them. Akeal Hosein was given just one over in the powerplay, and as it turned out, the left-arm spinner was the best bowler for the West Indies in those first six overs. Hosein kept a flat-trajectory throughout his first over, and went for just 6 off it.

India scored a total of 60 off the remaining 5 overs of the powerplay. Jaiswal opened the floodgates for them, peppering the off side with some sizzling strokes, and while it took him a while to adjust to the wicket, Shubman Gill only dealt in sixes until the last ball of the powerplay! Rovman Powell rotated his bowlers throughout the first six overs, but that did nothing to phase the two openers. India had the perfect platform going into the middle overs.

India were in cruise control throughout those middle overs as well. Both Jaiswal and Gill minimized the dot balls, rotated strike at the first opportunity, and of course, found the boundaries at will. The milestones began to come one after the other - both openers reached their half-centuries in succession. Jaiswal and Gill then went on to clear the ropes thrice in quick time, bringing the required rate under 6, and pretty much killed the game off right there.

West Indies had their opening breakthrough eventually, once Gill holed out to Shai Hope at deep mid wicket off Romario Shepherd after scoring 77 of the most scintillating runs. Jaiswal, having been joined by Tilak Varma post the departure of Gill, proceeded to apply the finishing touches. The left-handed pair took their own, sweet time, nudged it around quite a bit, and helped India coast through with 3 overs to spare.

We are in for a thrilling conclusion to the T20I series and India's tour of the West Indies tomorrow. However, the presentation ceremony from this game is still to come. While the choice of POTM seems fairly obvious, let's find out what the captains have to say!

Well, that turned out to be a anti-climatic finish! Nevertheless, victories don't come as comprehensive as that! The series will be going to a decider!

17.1 Romario Shepherd to Tilak Varma, WIDE! THAT'S IT! India thump West Indies, they have come back to square the series from 0-2 to 2-2 now! Short but down the leg-side, Tilak swivels to pull but misses, keeper fumbles to collect and they pick up a single too to seal the deal.

The man at short cover denies Jaiswal of the winning runs on that occasion. Just two needed with three overs remaining.

16.4 Jason Holder to Tilak Varma, FOUR! Wheels are coming off now for West Indies. Full but down the leg-side, Tilak leans and gets a tickle down to fine-leg, races away and finds the ropes again.

16.3 Jason Holder to Yashasvi Jaiswal, back of a length, rising into the batter and cramps up the batter for room. Jaiswal looks to tuck it into the on-side, but gets the inside edge into his body and rolls into the off-side for one.

16.2 Jason Holder to Yashasvi Jaiswal, BIG APPEAL FOR LBW, NOT GIVEN! That might've just pitched outside the leg-stump. Jaiswal gets inside the line to clip it into the on-side, but misses and that raps on the pad.

There doesn't seem to be enough runs remaining for Jaiswal to complete a hundred today. He won't mind one bit though - Jaiswal has played an absolute blinder to take India to the brink of a series-levelling victory!
