Well then, that was bloody entertaining and super tiring. As always, I enjoyed being glued to my screen for a big game, I hope you liked the coverage. Until next time, this is Vishal Subramanian signing off. Tata!
There's good news and bad news...
The bad news is that I will NOT be covering that game as I desperately need a breather after the six-goal thriller in Munich, but my colleague Aditya Hosangadi will bring you all the live-action as Spain look to make their presence felt in the tournament.
Right then, after a European Championships classic at the Allianz Arena, the action shifts to the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, where Spain take on Poland in an intriguing Group E encounter.

What an outstanding game of football, deary me! That was tournament football at its peak and Germany stepped up to the plate when it mattered the most. Group F is tantalizingly poised as things stand, matchday 3 could cook up something even more spectacular next week!
FULL TIME: Portugal 2-4 Germany!
The highest-scoring game of the tournament so far ends in favor of the Germans, who responded in some style after going behind to a first-half strike from Cristiano Ronaldo.
90+3' WHAT A BLOCK BY GINTER! The defender runs back to deny Andre Silva from close range. Almost time now!
90+2' Portugal are unable to get into the Germany penalty area despite their best efforts.
FOUR MINUTES OF STOPPAGE TIME ADDED ON!
89' Another corner for Portugal, they're knocking on the door in the dying embers of the game.
88' Important challenge from Sule as he blocks Semedo's cross. Corner for Portugal...
87' Leroy Sane comes on as a substitute for the second successive game, as he replaces Serge Gnabry.
86' Danilo Pereira is down after a collision with Thomas Muller.
85' Rafa Silva wins a throw for his side after intercepting Emre Can's pass. He's been lively as a substitute once again.
84' Diogo Jota is replaced by Andre Silva for the closing stages of the game.
83' CLOSE FROM GORETZKA! The substitute drives forward and strikes the ball narrowly past the crossbar.
82' Toni Kroos' long ball goes out of play as Germany look to retain the ball.
79' RENATO SANCHES SLAMS THE POST FROM LONG RANGE! What a left-off for Germany!
77' Matthias Ginter is booked for a rash challenge on Diogo Jota.
So Emre Can's moved to his preferred midfield position alongside Toni Kroos and Leon Goretzka, with Niklas Sule partnering Matthias Ginter and Antonio Rudiger at the back.
DOUBLE SUBSTITUTION FOR GERMANY! Leon Goretzka and Niklas Sule replace Kai Havertz and Ilkay Gundogan.
Another cooling break for the players as we approach the closing stages of the game. This has been the game of the tournament so far and could well have more goals in it.
69' Portugal are buoyed by their second goal and are piling on the pressure...
Ooof, so it's Portugal 2-4 Germany. The reigning European Champions are not done just yet...
Hello, hello, here we go! Jota slams home from close range after Ronaldo does brilliantly to keep the ball in.
GOOOOOOOALLLL PORTUGAL! DIOGO JOTA FOR PORTUGAL!
66' Cristiano Ronaldo earns Portugal a free kick after being brought down by Kai Havertz. The German is booked for his cynical challenge.
Another change for Portugal sees Bruno Fernandes withdrawn in favor of Joao Moutinho.
STAT TIME: Portugal have conceded four goals in a game for the first time ever in the history of the European Championships
DOUBLE CHANGE FOR GERMANY! Robin Gosens and Mats Hummels are replaced by Marcel Halstenberg and Emre Can.
60' One full-back to another as Kimmich's brilliant cross is headed in by Gosens. The Atalanta man has produced arguably the best individual performance at Euro 2020 so far!
GOOOOOOOALLLLL ROBIN GOSENS FOR GERMANY!
58' Portugal's second change of the night sees Rafa Silva come on for William Carvalho.
56' Renato Sanches has seen a lot of the ball since coming on and is looking to make things happen for Portugal
54' Cristiano Ronaldo sends a free kick above the crossbar.
Portugal are absolutely rattled, Germany have responded to going behind in some style. What a turnaround at the Allianz Arena!
My word, this Robin Gosens fella can play, can't he? He holds his run and plays a brilliant cross across the box for Havertz to tap in.
GOAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL GERMANY! KAI HAVERTZ SCORES!
50' Gosens is looking dangerous again, but his cross is headed away by Portugal
46' Renato Sanches replaces Bernardo Silva for the second half.
What's the opposite of a commentator's curse? 🙃
AND WE'RE AWAY! Portugal restart proceedings for the second half!
Another quick shout-out to Robin Gosens. He's coming on the back of an outstanding season with Atalanta, having chipped in with a staggering 11 league goals in Serie A. As a left-wing back, there are too many better players in world football than the 26-year-old, he could get a big-money move this summer...
Fernando Santos really saw Renato Sanches change the game and lead Portugal to victory against Hungary and said, "Nah, I'm good chief, give me some more of that defensive midfielder double pivot that we saw in the first 80 minutes."
With Danilo Pereira and William Carvalho in midfield, Portugal have lacked adventure and drive in the final third. Maybe we'll see Renato Sanches at some point in the second half?
Portugal haven't been great, but we have to talk about Cristiano Ronaldo. He just can't stop scoring goals and could well become the most decorated international goalscorer in football history before the end of the tournament. I don't think some of us realize how unbelievable a record that is...
What a fantastic half of football, arguably the best we've seen at Euro 2020 so far. Germany deservedly took the lead after falling behind against the run of play, their full-backs in particular have had a lot of joy so far. Robin Gosens is quickly becoming one of the first names on the team sheet for Jogi Low...
HALF TIME: Portugal (Cristiano Ronaldo 15') 1-2 Germany (Ruben Dias OG 35', Raphael Guerreiro 39')
45+3' GNABRY IS DENIED BY PATRICIO! Portugal survive a moment of real anxiety after Bernardo Silva gives the ball away in a dangerous position
45+1' Fernandes' free-kick is easily dealt with by Germany.
THREE MINUTES ADDED ON AT THE END OF THE FIRST HALF.
44' GOSENS IS DENIED BY RUI PATRICIO! Germany have played some brilliant football after going behind.
Portugal have scored three goals once again, but two of them have been at the wrong end. Germany have been rewarded for their perseverance, it's been a fantastic performance by them.
UPDATE: Rafa Guerreiro has scored the FIFTH own goal of UEFA Euro 2020 so far....
Rafa Guerreiro turns the ball into his own net as he fails to clear the ball from close range! It's all happening here at the Allianz Arena
GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL GERMANY! ANOTHER OWN GOAL!
Fourth own goal of the tournament already and we're still in the group stages... Yikes
UPDATE: Germany's equalizer has gone down as a Ruben Dias OG.
The Chelsea man gets in ahead of Dias to nod home a Robin Gosens cross. Germany have finally put the ball into the back of the net at Euro 2020!
35' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOALLLLLL GERMANY! KAI HAVERTZ RESTORES PARITY ON THE NIGHT!
Portugal down to ten men momentarily as Pepe waits to come back on. Danilo Pereira is filling in as a center half...
32' Pepe is down near the halfway line after a clash with Havertz. He's in serious pain and is receiving treatment from the medical staff
30' Gnabry is stopped inside the penalty area and Portugal get a foul as the German clatters into Ruben Dias.
29' CHANCE FOR GERMANY! Patricio claims Kimmich's cross after a good piece of play from the Germans.
28' CHANCE! Diogo Jota sends his header over the crossbar after getting to it ahead of his marker.
27' Kai Havertz fouls William Carvalho and stops him in his tracks. Guerreiro and Fernandes behind the ball....
25' Cooling break in what has been a hot day in Munich. More importantly, a much-needed breather for me...
Priorities, eh?
24' Gnabry's cross is narrowly missed by Hummels from close range. The Bayern Munich man has looked lively so far
22' WHAT A CHANCE FOR DIAS! The Manchester City man chooses the wrong option and tries to tee up Pepe instead of going for goal himself
19' Portugal seem to have weathered the early storm and are starting to see more of the ball...
STAT TIME: 107th international goal for Cristiano Ronaldo, he's only three shy of breaking Ali Daei's record. Staggering, just staggering...
At the 2018 World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo had never scored against Spain before scoring a hat-trick in the group stages.
At #EURO2020, Cristiano Ronaldo had never scored against Germany before scoring in the group stages.
Devastating blow for the Germans, they've been hit on the counter against the run of play...
What a fantastic break by Portugal. Diogo Jota unselfishly tees the ball up for Ronaldo, who taps home from close range for his third goal of the tournament.
15' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAL CRISTIANO RONALDO! IT'S HIM AGAIN!
What a start by Germany, they deserve to be ahead. Portugal are struggling to get hold of the ball in the opening exchanges.
12' KROOS IS DENIED FROM CLOSE RANGE BY RUBEN DIAS!
10' ANOTHER CHANCE FOR GERMANY! Gnabry is once again the danger man inside the box, but Portugal clear through Danilo Pereira
8' Fernandes gets himself into a glorious position, but he's flagged offside.
7' Another chance for Germany as Gnabry wriggles his way inside the box. His cross is gathered comfortably by Rui Patricio.
UPDATE: The goal has been disallowed as Gnabry is adjudged to have been offside in the build-up.
Desperately unlucky for Jogi Low and co.
GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL GERMANY! ROBIN GOSENS SCORES AT THE ALLIANZ ARENA
4' Germany are enjoying a decent spell of possession with Kroos seeing a lot of the ball in the opening exchanges
Germany will look to race off the blocks and get an early lead today. They never really recovered after Mats Hummels' OG against France and ended up on the losing side despite their best efforts.
1' Germany move quickly inside the Portugal penalty area, but the ball is cleared away.
HERE WE GO - WE'VE KICKED OFF IN MUNICH!
Germany get us underway from left to right in one of the standout fixtures of UEFA Euro 2020 so far.
FIVE MINUTES TO KICK-OFF!
Both sides are on the pitch on a bright and sunny day at the Allianz Arena.
17 - The last five matches between Portugal and Germany have produced 17 goals, an average of 3.4 per match. Four of those five games have witnessed 3+ goals. Expecting. #POR#GER#EURO2020pic.twitter.com/CwQyLvDiBb
Cristiano Ronaldo looked lackluster against Hungary, but the man somehow emerged as the matchwinner with a late brace. I guess that's what sets him apart from the rest - his obsession to score goals and keep pushing himself to reach greater heights. Can't help but think his influence rubs off on the rest of the Portugal side, it's a super squad mind you.
What we'd do for such kind of drama at Euro 2020. We've witnessed some incredibly competitive games with some outrageous goals being scored, but there hasn't really been an upset so far. Hungary's draw against France is as close as it gets.
We're all suckers for a good underdog story, let's not kid ourselves...
Hungary somehow contriving to make it out of this group would be like Costa Rica doing this in the 2014 World Cup 😂 pic.twitter.com/kDtXY1xZwB
Just under an hour for kick-off. Hungary's result against France has given them a fighting chance of making it through to the knockout stages, but Germany will look to capitalize on the situation. If they get a victory against the reigning European champions today, Joachim Low's side will have qualification in their hands and could book their place in the knockouts with a win against Hungary next week.
Time to get the pen and paper out to work out all the permutations and combinations. The Group of Death is certainly living up to its billing...
The thing about that starting XI is, you could easily play a 4-3-3 with the same players. Ginter RB, Gosens LB, Kimmich DM behind Kroos and Gündogan. (Or 4-2-3-1 with Gündogan further forward)
I'm no expert, but Joshua Kimmich really struggled at right-wing back against France. He's much more suited to a midfield role, but it could be argued that Germany don't have the personnel to allow him to play centrally.
Official Portugal XI (4-2-3-1): Rui Patrício; Nelson Semedo, Rúben Dias, Pepe, Raphael Guerreiro; Danilo Pereira, William Carvalho; Diogo Jota, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva; Cristiano Ronaldo
Official Germany XI (3-4-3): Manuel Neuer; Matthias Ginter, Mats Hummels, Antonio Rüdiger; Joshua Kimmich, Toni Kroos, Ilkay Gündogan, Robin Gosens; Kai Havertz, Thomas Müller, Serge Gnabry
The teamsheets could be in any minute now...
Portugal have a strong squad, but Fernando Santos could well name an unchanged side as his side dug deep to beat Hungary. Germany, on the other hand, lacked pace upfront against France, so could Timo Werner return to the starting lineup? We'll know soon enough.
It's been a surreal summer covering the business end of the 2020-21 European football followed by UEFA Euro 2020 and the Copa America. The icing on the cake has been roping in four renowned figures of the beautiful game in Jim Beglin, Paul Merson, David James and Fabrizio Romano as expert columnists. It's been a tumultuous time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but working and learning from them has definitely been the highlight of the summer so far, a massively rewarding experience I must say.
Watch this space in the weeks ahead, we've got some incredible things planned for football fans across the world!
Hello, hello, here we go! Attila Fiola has sent the home fans into raptures by giving Hungary the lead against France! A potentially massive result that could add more drama to Group F, which is already regarded as the Group of Death. Bloody hell, if Hungary hang on for a win and Germany beat Portugal, all four teams in the group will have three points apiece after two games played. Unbelievable.
We might be over two hours away from kick-off, but the Group F encounter between Hungary and France is turning out to be quite the contest. Just in case you can't catch the game, my impressive colleague Aditya Hosangadi has got you covered!
He'll take you through all the live action at the Ferenc Puskas Arena and ensure you don't miss a single moment with Sportskeeda's official live blog. Ooof, Karim Benzema has missed a massive chance to break the deadlock as I type this, the world champions are knocking on the door in Budapest!
What a day we have in store for us. The final of the World Test Championships at the Ageas Bowl, England Women taking on India Women in a one-off test match in Bristol, three intriguing UEFA Euro 2020 encounters and qualifiers for the French Grand Prix...
We're struggling to catch our breaths, but there's no such thing as too much sport, eh?
Three hours to kick-off at the Allianz Arena! And as I type this, the other Group F encounter between Hungary and France has kicked off at the Ferenc Puskas Stadium in Budapest.
Remember - France can seal qualification and top spot with a victory.
For the squads, team news and predicted lineups, be sure to checkout Sportskeeda's official match preview ahead of the game.
Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live blog for the all-important Group F clash between the two European heavyweights. I'm Vishal Subramanian from the football team and I'll be your host today!
With the Allianz Arena set to play host to the spectacle, the Germans will look to return to winning ways after their 1-0 defeat to France earlier this week. Portugal, on the other hand, needed a late flurry of goals to see of Hungary, but the reigning champions could guarantee their place in the knockout stages with a victory today.
What a game we could have in Munich today!
Portugal versus Germany. Fernando Santos versus Joachim Low. The reigning European Champions against a side that phased out the old guard and seemingly lost its way in the past three years.
The bad news is that I will NOT be covering that game as I desperately need a breather after the six-goal thriller in Munich, but my colleague Aditya Hosangadi will bring you all the live-action as Spain look to make their presence felt in the tournament.
The highest-scoring game of the tournament so far ends in favor of the Germans, who responded in some style after going behind to a first-half strike from Cristiano Ronaldo.
