AEW Dynamite Live Results (October 4, 2023): Adam Copeland speaks and confronts WWE legend, multiple returns, new faction member revealed, vicious attack

Cage embraces Copeland, but then tells The Rated-R Superstar to "go f**k yourself" Christian Cage brings out Luchasaurus to end the show on Dynamite.

That is why Adam came and attacked Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus. Copeland says Wayne and Luchasaurus will betray Christian Cage. Adam Copeland says it is time for them to team up again to face the likes of FTR and The Young Bucks.

Christian Cage comes out to the ring and Adam Copeland brings up their history. Copeland questions how Captain Charisma can attack Sting, Cage's childhood heroes and a legend.

Adam Copeland says how his daughter urged him to be with "Uncle Jay," Christian Cage. Adam calls out Cage.

Copeland recalls how he retired in 2011 and now in 2023 he is in an AEW ring. Adam Copeland teases going after the AEW World Championship and speaks about dream matches against Kenny Omega, Miro, Jon Moxley, Jay White, Juice Robinson.

Toni Schiavone officially welcomes Adam Copeland (fka Edge) to AEW. Copeland says he grew up listening to Schiavone. Adam says he loves Toni, but tells him to leave the ring.

Stokely Hathaway announces a four-way number one contender match for Eddie Kingston's ROH World Title.

Storm hits a hip attack and follows up with the Storm Zero for the win.

After a back-and-forth, Blue gets a two-count after hitting a superkick. Toni Storm clutches on Skye Blue's leg and follows up with a German Suplex.

Storm looks for a pildriver, but Blue rolls her up and unloads with forearm strikes. Skye Blue connects with an enziguiri before getting a two-count with a crossbody from the turnbuckle.

The action spills to the outside and Storm is in total control with chops. The unhinged one continues her offense and mockingly kicks Skye Blue.

Skye Blue responds by throwing Storm around. She goes up to the turnbuckles, but Storm chops her down. Timeless Toni Storm then hits a hip attack to send Blue outside.

Toni Storm shakes hands with the referee before hitting a short-arm lariat on Skye Blue. Storm unloads on Blue and throws her around the ring.

Samoa Joe appears in a vignette for the first time after his loss against MJF.

Post-match, MJF is in the medical room. Max Caster comes in and rubs MJF's shoulders. The Devil calls him a stalker and chases him away by threatening a restraining order. MJF calls Adam Cole, but he doesn't respond.

Don Callis hits Kenny Omega with a steel chair and dents the chair.

We learn that The Young Bucks are in the hospital. Takeshita, Hobbs, and Callis duct tape Omega to the ropes. Konosuke dropkicks Chris Jericho. The Ocho tries to stop Hobbs, but gets taken out.

Post-match, Powerhouse Hobbs returns and destroys Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho. He has seemingly joined hands with Don Callis.

Takeshita comes in and gets a knee strike and snap dragon. Kyle Fletcher stops Kenny Omega, but Chris Jericho hits a Code Breaker and Omega follows up with the One-Winged Angel to pick up the win.

Jericho hits an enziguri and tags in Omega. The Cleaner and Fletcher exchange blows before Omega power bombs Kyle. He then hits a hard knee strike for a two-count.

Jericho applies the Wall of Jericho on Kyle Fletcher. Konosuke Takeshita breaks the submission by kicking Jericho. Kenny Omega flips off Takeshita.

Chris Jericho and Kyle Fletcher exchange some chops before taking each other out with crossbodies. The Ocho chops Kyle, but the latter retaliates with the same move.

After a back-and-forth, Kyle Fletcher drops Kenny Omega with a brainbuster.

Kyle Fletcher hits a half-and-half before super kicking Jericho. The heels hit blue thunder/michinoku driver combo for a two-count. Omega hammers on Fletcher's back and hits a snap dragon.

Chris Jericho hits the Lionsault and tags in Kenny Omega. He unloads on the heels, but Takeshita stops his momentum. Omega vaults over Takeshita and hits the backstabber on Kyle.

Konosuke Takeshita chokes Chris Jericho on the ropes. Kyle Fletcher is tagged in again.

Takeshita gathers momentum and takes down Jericho with the Alpha Line. Kyle Fletcher is tagged in and he gets a cheap in on The Cleaner. Kyle lateral presses Jericho and gets a pinfall attempt.

Konosuke Takeshita and Chris Jericho have a back-and-forth early on before Kenny Omega is tagged in.

Orange Cassidy and HOOK are in a backstage segment with Renee Paquette. OC says they should have won at WrestleDream before HOOK subtly teases Cassidy challenging the winner of Jon Moxley and Rey Fenix.

White says he doesn't trust MJF about attacking him and calls him a "liar." Jay White challenges MJF for the AEW World Title at Full Gear. MJF accepts White's challenge.

Bullet Club Gold escape out of the ring as MJF looks to attack them. However, Jay White returns and attacks the AEW World Champion. He and BCG walk away with the world title.

MJF says he didn't attack White before challenging BCG to a street fight.

MJF recalls throwing Chris Jericho from a cage to near death, whipping Cody Rhodes and calling Tony Khan a "f***ing mark." He asks having done all those despicable things why he wouldn't claim responsibility for Jay White's attack.

MJF comes out and hypes up the crowd. The Devil says Bang Bang Gang are making a lot of accusations. He calls The Gunns "A** Boys" and Robinson "talentless taint."

Colten Gunn says he attacked Jay White backstage because he was scared. Juice Robinson calls out MJF.

Bullet Club Gold come out to the ring. Austin Gunn says thye didn't come out to address Adam Cole, but "The Devil" MJF.

Toni Storm angrily catches RJ City and says he doesn't know anything about losing everything. She then claims she is timeless to end the segment.

Towards the end, The Acclaimed hit a double team move on Kip Sabian to retain their titles.

Caster finally tags in Anthony Bowens. He unloads with chops and kicks on The Butcher before dropping Sabian with an over the top.

Kip Sabian takes out The Acclaimed with a moonsault. The Blade weakens Caster before The Butcher comes in. The challenges exchange quick tags.

Chaos ensues to start the match. The champion get the better of the heels and do their scissoring pose. Max Caster and The Blade in the ring, but The Butcher comes in with a big kick.

We see a Don Callis backstage promo from earlier in the night. He says Kyle Fletcher will team up with Konosuke Takeshita against Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega.

Wardlow vs. Griff Garrison

Wardlow comes in and unloads on Garrison. He then hits four Powerbomb Symphonies and adds another one. The referee calls for the bell.

Wardlow just walks out through the crowd after the match.

We see Adam Cole in Roderick Strong's house. Strong gifts Cole a wheelchair-type equipment and two have fun. The Kingdom and Cole help Strong to relocate furniture. Cole says he needs to have ankle surgery. But Roderick Strong says he needs Adam Cole to end the segment.

Towards the end, the two stars roll up each other and Rey Fenix finally retains his title against The Young Bucks member.

Nick Jackson hits some kicks and gets another two-count. Rey Fenix kicks Nick on the head and follows up with a frog splash for a two-count.

Nick faceplates Fenix on the mat and gets a two-count. After a back-and-forth, Nick Jackson hits a destroyer and gets another near fall.

Nick superkicks Fenix, but the latter gets a near fall with a hurricanrana. Nick Jackson hurts his knees while jumping out of the ring as Rey Fenix hits a cutter on the floor.

Both stars look to lift each other, but fail to do so. They then superkick each other before Nick Jackson hits an enziguiri. Nick Jackson hits a couple of super kicks and a roundhouse kick as the two men are down.
