Right then, that brings an end to our coverage today! India have reached the 60-medal mark and the 100-medal dream continues to remain alive!

The day started off with the duo of Ayhika Mukherjee and Sutirtha Mukherjee putting up a big fight before going down in the semifinals and settling for a bronze. Indian shuttlers were not in the pink of health as they awarded two walkovers due to their health conditions.

There were a couple of surprises as Indian Men's and Women's Roller Skating Relay team won Bronze medals each. After that, it was over to the Athletics contingent to do the rest and they didn't disappoint!

Parul Chaudhary and Priti won two medals in the same race as they finished with Silver and Bronze. Ancy Sojan's terrific performances won her a Silver following which, the Mixed 4x400m Relay Team's medal got upgraded to a Silver from a Bronze following a lane infringement from Sri Lanka.

Completes what has been quite a successful day for India! There will be a lot of anticipation for the Men's Kabaddi Team, who kick-off their campaign tomorrow. After a loss in 2018, they will be hungry to reclaim gold. ATHLETICS - Men's Decathlon 400m

Tejaswin Shankar finishes in 49.67s and earns 830 points from the race in the Decathlon. What that does is extend his lead at the top of the field. He moves to 4260 points, a 250-point lead!

ATHLETICS - Men's Decathlon 400m

Shankar starts off well. He takes the lead within the first 100m or so. And while he seemed to be struggling a little bit with the strapping on his thigh, he does manage to hold on to his first place. He finishes the 400m in first place.

ATHLETICS - Mixed 4x400m Relay

Okay we've got some news from the 4x400m relay. The Sri Lankan team have been disqualified for a lane infringement, and India's bronze has been upgrade to a Silver.

ATHLETICS - Men's Decathlon 400m

India's Tejaswin Shankar comes into the 400m section of the Decathlon in first place, having been the best in the field in High Jump and Long Jump so far. Going into the 400m. Shankar does hold the best season best timing of the seven athletes in the Decathlon at 48.41s, which is also his overall personal best.

Thailand's Suttisak Singkhon and Japan's Shun Taue have both had better personal best timings but haven't been upto that mark in the season so far.

Meanwhile, here is the round-up from the Men and Women's Team event in Chess. The Men won their match but the Women narrowly lost China.

ATHLETICS - Mixed 4x400m Relay

Bronze for India! Shubha Venkateshan was unable to hold on to the second place after taking the baton from Rajesh Ramesh. India finish third in the end. That is the 60th medal of the Games for the Indian contingent. Timing of 3:14.34 for India. Just 0.32s behind Bahrain, who won Gold.

ATHLETICS - Women's Long Jump Final

And here we go with Ancy Sojan's final attempt! She hypes up the crowd as always, and with her typical jerky start, completes the jump. However, she had stepped on the no-go orange zone and her last attempt will be unsuccessful. She will finish with a SILVER MEDAL!!

ATHLETICS - Mixed 4x400m Relay

The Mixed 4x400m relay is about to get underway. 5 teams going up against...well...each other. We'll give you as many updates as possible in the coming minutes.

ATHLETICS - Women's Long Jump Final

Shaili Singh's last jump is 6.23m and that will mean her penultimate attempt of 6.48m is the highest. That will, unfortunately, not be enough for Shaili to win a medal.

ATHLETICS - Men's Decathlon High Jump

Well, Tejaswin Shankar has flexed his muscles in this event for sure! He has successfully cleared 2.21m and has taken an astounding 1002 points from this event! He's moved to the first position in the overall Decathlon standings!

ATHLETICS - Women's Long Jump

Ancy Sojan hypes up the crowd before getting off to her start! She hurls herself in the air and she's crossed the 6.50 mark comfortably! She sqeals in delight as she has gotten in a score of 6.63m! She extends her lead in the second position!

DIVING - Men's 1m Springboard Final

India's London Singh Hemam finishes 12th out of 14 competitors in the Men's 1m Springboard Final. He had a total score of 207.80. First placed was China's Wang Zongyuan with a score of 459.50. Well, there will be no medal for London Singh in the 1m Springboard Final!

ATHLETICS - Women's Long Jump

Shaili Singh bears a nervous look as she preps up for her fifth and penultimate attempt. She's largely underperformed so far. Her attempt is legal and she's scored 6.48 to draw level with fourth-placed Japan's Sumire Hata.

Ancy Sojan with a jump of 6.30 but her previous attempt of 6.56 continues to remain the best. Only two more attempts to go now! Whew! This is getting close!

Tejaswin Shankar is on a roll! He's won the match already by clearing the 2.03m mark but he's flaunting his skills here, along with getting some much-needed points! He clears the 2.09 and 2.12m as well! He's going for the 2.15m next up!

Tejaswin Shankar is placed first and after passing the 2.00m attempt, he's trying for the 2.03m. There is no other athlete competing with him right now but Tejaswin will be looking to take maximum points from here, as on Decathlon points he is currently tied with Qihao on 776 points.

Oh well, this has been comfortable for Tejaswin Shankar! He clears the height of 1.97m on his first attempt itself after passing all attempts below it! Only him and China's Qihao Sun are in contention now, with all others being knocked out.

No medal for Amlan Borgohain in the end. It is Koki Ueyama who wins gold in the 200m final. Borgohain finishes in 6th place, 0.24s behind Taipei's Chun-Han Yang in the bronze medal position.

It's 6.56m for Ancy Sojan and she equals her personal and season best! She's reclaimed her second position with three jumps still to go! Shaili, meanwhile, has slipped down to the fourth position as her scores are declining. 6.15 on this attempt and her score of 6.38 is still the best.

Heartbreak for Pavithra Vengatesh! She is unable to clear the 4.10m mark in three attempts. And that means she will finish in fourth place, just missing out on the bronze medal.

Right, so this is interesting. Tejaswin Shankar passed up all of his initial attempts and has decided to participate directly once the bar is 1.97m high.

DIVING-Men's 1m Springboard Final

After 3 rounds, India's London Singh is currently 14th of 14 divers. A fumble in the third dive put him dead last and far away from the leaders.

ATHLETICS - Women's Pole Vault

Pavithra Vengatesh still stands third! She has failed to clear the 4.10m mark twice. If the other athletes fail as well, she might be looking at a Bronze medal here!

Shaili Singh registers a score of 6.34 in her second attempt while Ancy Sojan betters it with a score of 6.49 in her second attempt. Ancy finds herself placed second while Shaili is third. This should perhaps be enough for them to break into the top eight.

PARUL CHAUDHARY WINS SILVER! AND PRITI WINS BRONZE!!! It happened yesterday in the 1500 Men's and it's happening today! It was a tussle between another runner, but Priti's last minute burst helps her get past Bahrain's Tigest to win! Bahrain's Yavi finishes first pretty comfortably while Parul had finishes second. Both were cheering for their respective teammates to finish third and in the end, Priti manages to edge past her competitor! Two big medals added to India's tally!

Pavithra Vengatesh moves to the first position! She successfully clears a 4.00m height and currently stands first!

ATHLETICS - Women's 3000m Steeplechase

With five laps to go, Parul Chaudhary is placed second while Priti is placed fourth. They will need a final burst towards the end.
