The UFC has blessed MMA fans with some incredible fights over the last two decades. Some of the promotion's biggest rivalries were kicked into high gear during a post-fight interaction.

Many UFC fighters have taken full advantage of the opportunity they had in their post-fight interview.

Fighters like Chael Sonnen and Nate Diaz have used their interviews to put the wheels in motion for a future bout. Sonnen received another title shot against Anderson Silva after speaking out in a post-fight interview. Diaz, on the other hand, ended up getting a lucrative fight with Conor McGregor.

The UFC have also had their fair share of chaotic moments post-fight and have been forced to take action. Sometimes post-fight interactions can go too far, causing some fans to compare it to those seen in pro wrestling.

All things considered, there's been more entertaining post-fight moments that will be remembered in a positive light than ones that've been negative. This list will look at 5 memorable post-fight moments in UFC history.

#5. GSP not impressed with Matt Hughes - UFC 63

Kicking off this list of memorable UFC post-fight moments is Georges ‘Rush’ St-Pierre disrespecting Matt Hughes in the octagon. St-Pierre is one of the greatest fighters of all-time and has earned a reputation as being one of the most respectful. However, there was one night that GSP wasn’t so respectful, which led to one of the most memorable post-fight exchanges.

After successfully defending his UFC welterweight championship against BJ Penn at UFC 63, Hughes did his post-fight interview and mentioned St-Pierre. Hughes talked about GSP potentially being his next challenger, prompting the Canadian to enter the octagon.

GSP got the microphone from Joe Rogan and completely disrespected Hughes’ performance to his face before shaking his hand. He said:

“I’m very glad that you won that fight, Matt. But, I’m not impressed by your performance and I look forward to fight you in the near future.”

This was uncharacteristic for GSP and he later said in interviews that he was encouraged to promote their rematch. GSP went on to become the UFC welterweight champion after defeating Hughes by TKO at UFC 65.

#4. Daley punches Koscheck after the bell - UFC 113

Another memorable UFC post-fight moment came under different circumstances. Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley and Josh Koscheck had a lot of animosity heading into their bout at UFC 113. The bout served as a title-eliminator, with both fighters competing for the next title shot against then-UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre.

Koscheck utilized his wrestling to dominate the fight. He controlled Daley on the ground and left him with no opportunity to use his deadly striking. As the bout was nearing its end, it was a forgone conclusion that Koscheck would clearly be awarded the unanimous decision.

The bell sounded to end the fight and instead of congratulating Koscheck on the fight, he threw a punch that connected.

Referee Dan Miragliotta immediately grabbed Daley and stopped things from escalating further. That one moment would end up costing Daley his entire UFC career.

During the post-event press conference, UFC President Dana White was furious with what transpired and banned Daley from ever competing in the UFC. he said:

“I don't care if he fights in every show all over the world and becomes the best and everybody thinks he's the pound-for-pound best in the world. He will never fight in the UFC ever again. Done."

White has given second chances to fighters on many occasions, but he stuck to his word on this one. UFC 113 was the last time Daley ever competed in the UFC.

#3. Tito Ortiz calls out Chuck Liddell and Ken Shamrock – UFC 51

Tito Ortiz was one of the most popular fighters in the sport in his time. His rivalries with UFC Hall of Famers Ken Shamrock and Chuck Liddell were some of the biggest in the sport. At UFC 51, Ortiz decided to use his post-fight interview to add another chapter to both of those rivalries.

Ortiz defeated former UFC light-heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort in the main event by a close split-decision. During his post-fight interview, he called out Shamrock and Liddell, who happened to be in attendance that night, to the octagon.

Liddell entered first, exchanged words with Ortiz and said he’d knock him out again in a rematch. Shamrock then entered with the intention of a confrontation.

Security prevented Shamrock from approaching Ortiz, but the two weren’t done there. Shamrock was interviewed outside the octagon before both he and Ortiz got into a back-and-forth with each other.

Daniel Cormier and Brock Lesnar’s confrontation at UFC 226 is one of the most memorable moments in UFC history. UFC 226 is remembered as the night Cormier made history by becoming a two-division UFC champion.

Cormier was the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion when he opted to move up and take on then-UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic. DC defeated Miocic by first-round knockout to become the new champion.

The night may’ve been remembered for Cormier’s big win, but it was the post-fight confrontation that stole all the headlines. While speaking with Joe Rogan in his post-fight interview, Cormier brought up Lesnar, who was in the arena. Cormier said he always wanted to fight him and told Lesnar to get in the octagon. The champion got his wish as Lesnar got in the octagon and shoved Cormier.

Lesnar then got on the mic and gave his colorful opinion on the heavyweight bouts that night. Lesnar simply told Cormier he was coming for him and his title. It seemed like Cormier vs Lesnar was the plan once Lesnar finished serving his USADA suspension. Unfortunately, the bout never ended up taking place as Lesnar chose to officially retire from MMA.

Topping this list of memorable UFC post-fight moments is the brawl that took place following the main event of UFC 229. It may be a memorable moment for the wrong reasons, but a memorable moment nonetheless. The event was headlined by the long-awaited UFC lightweight championship bout between Khabib ‘The Eagle’ Nurmagomedov and ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor.

The animosity between Nurmagomedov and McGregor had reached its breaking point in the weeks leading up to the event. The Russian took McGregor down in each round and even stunned the former champion with an overhand right.

'The Eagle' would cap off an impressive performance in the fourth-round, where he submitted McGregor.

After winning the fight, Khabib wasn’t satisfied yet. He immediately exchanged words with McGregor’s cornermen and then proceeded to jump over the cage and attack Dillon Danis.

A brawl then ensued before security eventually intervened and got things somewhat under control. UFC President Dana White was disappointed with what transpired and refused to put the title on Khabib post-fight. White thought it would’ve enraged the fans more, so decided not to.
