UFC 287 is a stacked card with Israel Adesanya facing current middleweight champion Alex Pereira in the main event. The co-main event will feature the No.11-ranked welterweight Jorge Masvidal taking on the No.5-ranked Gilbert Burns.

Preceding the Masvidal vs. Burns bout will be Kevin Holland taking on Argentinian bruiser Santiago Ponzinibbio. The card will also feature the youngest signed UFC fighter and DWCS alum Raul Rosas Jr. taking on Christian Rodriguez in his second promotional bout.

An interesting thing to note is that the UFC is returning to Miami, Florida, 20 years after the organization first hosted an event there. The last UFC event held there was UFC 42: Sudden Impact, which featured fighters like Matt Hughes, Sean Sherk, Rich Franklin, Evan Tanner, Duane Ludwig and Robbie Lawler.

UFC 287: A set of banger fights

Each year, the UFC manages to up the ante by hosting mega-events featuring the best fights, fighters and moments inside the octagon. Sometimes, it becomes a little hard to track all the best moments of the year, but thankfully we have the internet to remind us of them.

This year will be the year of championship rematches, which started with flyweights Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo duking it out for the fourth time at UFC 283, the highly touted Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman trilogy at UFC 286, and the MMA rematch between former middleweight champ Israel Adesanya and current champion Alex Pereira at UFC 287.

As if the storied rematch between the aforementioned middleweights wasn't exciting enough, the card will also feature what has the potential to be the Fight of the Night in the co-main event between Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns. Argentine Santiago Ponzinibbio will take on the 'Trailblazer' Kevin Holland in what is also a potential bonus-worthy banger of a bout.

The 'Maverick' Michael Chiesa will also return in a bout against 'The Leech' Li Jingliang in what will be a classic striker vs. grappler match-up. This card has all the makings to be an all-time classic, with certified finishers putting it all on the line.
