ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix winner Chingiz Allazov has been voicing his confidence heading into his title fight with Superbon, and 'Chinga' recently spoke about the champ's unwillingness to trade in his fights.
The Belarusian striker is 3-1 inside the circle with a pair of knockouts, but his upcoming match at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video will undoubtedly be his toughest test to date.
Superbon is unbeaten under ONE's banner, but Chingiz Allazov firmly believes he's the man who will dethrone him. He told ONE Championship:
"He doesn’t like punching. He doesn’t like real fights, you know? He has this clever game plan. He has kicks, kicks, kicks, and after that, maybe he would like the fight. Maybe you should talk to him. Chingiz said Superbon doesn’t fight. He doesn’t like a boxing fight. He doesn’t like a power fight."
The No.1-ranked featherweight kickboxing contender earned the opportunity to fight for the title following a trio of thrilling performances in the Grand Prix, including a devastating left hook knockout over Jo Nattawut in the semi-finals.
Chingiz Allazov says he has better hands than Superbon
Allazov's confidence heading into his match against Superbon is genuine. He firmly believes he has better boxing to go along with equally proficient kicks. 'Chinga' told the promotion:
“[Superbon] has good kicks, I have the same good kicks. He has good boxing, but I have two-to-three times better boxing than him, and more power than him. In this sport, it comes down to who is clever, who is more powerful, who has more timing, and who has a good game plan.”
The 29-year-old striker possesses over 50 professional kickboxing bouts under his belt, which includes securing the K-1 super welterweight championship in 2017.
Allazov is hoping he can coax the champ into a good old-fashioned brawl in the middle of the circle, as he thinks Superbon is normally unwilling to trade with his opponents.
