Henry Cejudo picks more favorable opponent between Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler for Conor McGregor

As rumors begin to circulate surrounding Conor McGregor's potential return to the octagon, Henry Cejudo has given his opinion on who would be a more favorable matchup for the Irishman between Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler.

'Triple C' has been involved in an ongoing feud over social media with the Dublin-born star and the pair have a public dislike of one another. Despite re-entering the USADA testing pool, the former UFC flyweight champion doesn't have a scheduled bout. 'The Notorious' aims to get back into the cage and compete for titles in the near future.

While discussing McGregor's UFC comeback, Henry Cejudo insisted that the 34-year-old would have a better chance against Michael Chandler than he would in the fourth clash with Dustin Poirier, saying:

"I think between those two, he would have a better shot with Chandler, just for the simple fact that Chandler doesn't kick. Chandler doesn't have that kick like Poirier, Poirier can sneak that kick in, I don't think Chandler can... Conor McGregor's power cannot do anything no more to Poirier, and Poirier's power could really damage a guy like Conor McGregor... A better matchup for a guy like Conor McGregor, you have to go Michael Chandler."

Despite claiming he's the easier fight for 'The Notorious', Cejudo did admit that both lightweights would pose problems for him. Cejudo thinks the former two-division world champion should be chasing a matchup with Tony Ferguson instead.

What's the most logical next fight for Conor McGregor?

Despite not claiming a win inside the octagon since his first-round TKO over Donald Cerrone almost three years ago, Conor McGregor is still the biggest draw in the sport.

Having lost back-to-back to Dustin Poirier, it seems likely that 'The Notorious' will want to run it back with the Louisiana brawler and even the score at two wins apiece.

Since taking his break from the sport, McGregor has piled on a large amount of muscle, and has already confirmed that he will be returning as a welterweight the next time he steps foot into the cage.

Two more potential options, as mentioned by Cejudo, are Michael Chandler and Tony Ferguson. Although they're both natural lightweights, 'El Cucuy' competed at 170lbs in his last outing and 'Iron' has signaled his intent on a welterweight debut.
