Conor McGregor shows off bruise suffered on his backside from near-death car accident 

Conor McGregor recently made headlines after he was hit by a car while cycling in Ireland, but fortunately managed to avoid any serious injuries.

In one of his latest posts on Instagram, the UFC superstar documented his ordeal and claimed that the driver was blinded by the sun and rammed into the back of his cycle. The former two-division champion credited his wrestling and judo training for his safe landing.

McGregor wrote in the caption of his post:

"Got a bang of a car just now from behind. A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full speed straight thru me. Thank you God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life."

'The Notorious' revealed the extent of his injuries in a subsequent post, showing off a nasty gash on the right side of his hip.

Henry Cejudo jibes at Conor McGregor following cycling accident

Henry Cejudo wasted no time taking a shot at Conor McGregor following his recent biking accident. The Irishman escaped unscathed except for a gash on his hip and was able to share the aftermath of the incident on social media.

However, 'Triple C' was apparently in no mood to show sympathy and used McGregor's cycling activity to joke about his cardio fitness. Cejudo tweeted:

"Glad you are ok. Heard you were on a bike because you ran out of gas.@TheNotoriousMMA."

This isn't the first time Henry Cejudo has taken shots at Conor McGregor. The two have previously gone back-and-forth on social media multiple times, with Cejudo repeatedly poking fun at McGregor's cardio.

Like McGregor, Cejudo is also set to return to action this year following a lengthy hiatus. The former flyweight and bantamweight champion is poised to challenge Aljamain Sterling for the 135-pound strap.
