Cosmo Alexandre, the man who literally broke Sage Northcutt’s face will make his long-awaited return to ONE Championship at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18th. ‘Good Boy’ last appeared inside the Circle at ONE: Enter the Dragon in May 2019.

Facing the debuting Sage Northcutt, Alexandre delivered a brutal knockout blow against the photogenic fighter just 29-seconds into the contest that resulted in eight fractures to Northcutt’s face and required nine hours of surgery to repair.

Three years later, Cosmo Alexandre will make his fourth appearance for the promotion against British kickboxer Juan Cervantes. As a former WTKA Muay Thai world champion, Cervantes will be making his second appearance under the ONE Championship banner, the first coming more than three years ago at ONE: Immortal Triumph.

The two will square off in a welterweight kickboxing clash that is sure to deliver some fireworks.

Brazilian-born Alexandre has been dealing with visa issues over the last few years, which unfortunately kept him out of ONE Championship competition, but with those issues now resolved, ‘Good Boy’ is ready to take advantage of the momentum he built back in 2019 when he delivered one of the most vicious knockouts in promotional history.

After more than three years away from competition, will we ever see Sage Northcutt again?

At one time, ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt was one of the hottest prospects in mixed martial arts. Following his brutal knockout loss in 2019, Northcutt has largely been absent from the world of MMA minus the occasional post-training work picture on social media. Over the summer, it appeared that Northcutt was on his way back to ONE Championship, but all the talk has quieted once again.

Teasing a return in July, everyone called for a fight with Northcutt, including Shinya Aoki and Eduard Folayang. After calling for a fight with Aoki, it appeared that the two would finally step inside the Circle with one another. Unfortunately, the fight never materialized and Aoki moved on to a fight with lightweight standout Saygid Izagakhmaev.

Earlier this year, the ONE Championship CEO revealed that Northcutt was offered two separate fights for the promotion’s 10th-anniversary showcase ONE X. Northcutt reportedly turned down both fights, bringing into question whether or not he was ready to make a return.

“For Northcutt we gave Shinya Aoki and Sage Turned it down. Then we gave Sage Eduard Folayang and he turned it down. So it's just one of those things, you know.”
