Francis Ngannou revealed why Kamaru Usman could not train properly for his fight against Leon Edwards at UFC 286.

Last weekend, Leon Edwards successfully defended his title against Kamaru Usman in their trilogy fight. 'The Nigerian Nightmare' may not get to fight the Brit again after losing to him twice in a row. However, he remains one of the best welterweights in the division, having beaten most of the other top contenders. In a recent YouTube video, Ngannou revealed Usman's problems:

"He was there, he fought tonight, which is a lot of setback. I know that he didn't have to train properly because of a lot of injury, but he was there, it's a victory, an unfortunate victory. But, I think now he's like, mentally, he is mentally hurting than what he was before and yeah let's see what next. But I believe that he is gonna be back, I believe it."

Francis Ngannou is currently out of the UFC, but being a fighter and a friend of Kamaru Usman, he organized a watch party at his home village in Cameroon. A few hundred people gathered and were given food and warmth.

Francis Ngannou says he will always be rooting for Jon Jones and calls him the GOAT

Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones are not on the best terms with each other. The pair went back and forth after Ngannou beat Stipe Miocic to hold the heavyweight title. Jones wanted to make his comeback fight against Ngannou, but when 'The Predator' vacated the belt and left the UFC, he was labeled as 'scared'. In an interview with Ariel Helwani he spoke about how 'Bones' changed his tone:

"No matter what they say, I personally always like rooting for Jon and believe that he is the goat, even before this fight and in my perspective Jon is the goat.....But I still do believe that in this situation we could be fighting on the same side...Basically for Jones that was out there couple years ago, was very vocal about the pay, about this, about that, now he switched like this."

Francis Ngannou left the UFC due to pay disputes with Dana White, an issue that Jon Jones himself faced for years and it kept him away from the octagon for three years. However, now that his issue has been resolved, he is no longer complaining about fighter pay, according to Ngannou.
