Leon Edwards' younger brother, Fabian, is currently fighting under the Bellator MMA banner. The younger Edwards brother competes at middleweight, as opposed to 'Rocky', who competes in the welterweight division.

Both fighters are extremely successful, with far more victories than losses. But considering that Leon is the UFC welterweight champion, many fans would deem his career as more successful, and in a certain sense, they would be correct.

However, when looking at who has a higher winning percentage over the span of their careers, it is Fabian Edwards who would be classified as more successful - but by a fine margin.

'Rocky' holds a record of 20-3, compared to his younger brother's record of 11-2. When breaking down the percentages, Leon Edwards would have an 83.33% winning record, whereas his brother would have an 84.62% winning record.

Fabian Edwards fought former UFC champion Lyoto Machida at Bellator 281, where the Brit emphatically KO'd his opponent. He then continued his brilliance to earn a victory against Charlie Ward in Bellator 287.

Fabian Edwards will next take on former Bellator champion Gegard Mousasi in the main event of Bellator 296.

Leon Edwards also has a fight scheduled, and 'Rocky' will hope to defend his title for the first time against the man he took it from, Kamaru Usman. The pair are scheduled to headline UFC 286 in London, and will face off for the third time.

Usman won their first clash via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 17 in 2015. But Edwards turned the tables at UFC 278 last year, when he landed a headkick that knocked Usman out cold with less than a minute to go in round 5.

Leon Edwards opens up about breaking the cycle of crime in his family

Leon Edwards has risen from the gutter to become the undisputed champion of the world. A journey that is inspiring and remarkable in equal parts.

Edwards moved from Jamaica to Birmingham, England, when he was nine years old, and was constantly surrounded by crime due to his father's lifestyle. According to 'Rocky', his father was the leader of a gang in the Ashton area of Birmingham. Edwards tragically lost his father at the age of 13 when he was shot and killed in a nightclub in London.

Leon Edwards began involving himself in criminal activities during his adolescence until his mother enrolled him in an MMA gym when he was 17 years old. 'Rocky' was able to escape the criminal lifestyle he began, and recently sat down to reflect on breaking the cycle within his family.

He said this:

"When I was younger I looked up to my dad, everyone respected him. As a kid, you're inspired to be like that, which looking back now is sad. For me to come and totally change my life. I've broke [the cycle]."
