The winter holiday season is here. For most people, Christmas and other holidays represent a time when families exchange gifts and enjoy special dinners.

As the MMA calendar year ends, an intriguing question has been asked about fighters. Theoretically speaking, which MMA superstar would prepare the best Christmas dinner? We have narrowed it down to five candidates, let’s take a look!

#5. Conor McGregor

You might be asking yourself, is Conor McGregor a good cook? The answer might be no, but he gets the nod for another reason. ‘The Notorious’ is the proud owner of Black Forge Inn, a restaurant/pub in Dublin, and the founder of 'Proper Twelve Irish Whiskey'. Christmas dinner will succeed if the former two-division champion shows up with whiskey and food from his restaurant.

#4. Alexander Volkanovski

Alexander Volkanovski is an avid cook. He enjoys displaying his culinary skills on social media.

Volkanovski displayed his skills on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, where he made chicken breasts, one breaded with Takis and another with salt and vinegar chips. ‘The Great’ would easily be the priority pick to cook dinner during Christmas.

#3. Paddy Pimblett

Paddy Pimblett is in a similar category to Conor McGregor. It’s unclear if Pimblett knows how to cook, but one thing is certain - he knows how to eat.

‘The Baddy’ has shown tendencies to put on a few extra pounds when he doesn’t have a fight booked. The Liverpool native’s dinner might not be homemade, but surely he will pick up some delicious triple cheeseburgers with some milkshakes on the side.

#2. Deiveson Figueiredo

Before becoming a UFC champion, Deiveson Figueiredo held various jobs to make ends meet. Some of those jobs included being a security guard, fisherman, hairdresser, motorcycle taxi driver, and sushi chef.

Now read that last one again. Some holiday dinner with handmade sushi from ‘Deus da Guerra’ doesn't sound half-bad.

#1. Dustin Poirier will spice up a Christmas dinner

Last but not least, New Orleans cuisine and hot sauce make a beautiful combination.

Throw out your average ham and turkey as Dustin Poirier is cooking dinner. The former UFC interim lightweight champion might have a couple of tricks up his sleeve. If cajun seafood and Poirier’s hot sauce end up on the table, a finger-licking fest is guaranteed.
