Adriano Moraes knows that if he is going to defeat Demetrious Johnson in their trilogy fight, he must be better in every aspect of the fight.

Through their first two meetings, both Johnson and Moraes have showcased how well-rounded they both are, producing two closely contested fights. Despite how evenly matched they were, both ended in a finish, with Moraes taking the first fight and Johnson getting his revenge in the rematch. Both stoppages came via highlight-reel knees.

Brazil’s Moraes has already become the first man to stop Johnson, but with a win on May 5, he could become the first man to beat the legendary fighter twice.

Ahead of their trilogy matchup at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, Adriano Moraes spoke about the aspects of his game that he has been working on after being stopped by Johnson last time out.

He told SCMP MMA:

“I came back and fixed a lot of stuff, like my BJJ game, my Muay Thai, my [aggressiveness]. I watched him win the fight and wanted to fix everything and come back strong like I always do. This time it’s going to be different.”
