Russian striker Alaverdi Ramazanov is looking to hand Nong-O Gaiyanghadao his first defeat inside the circle and snatch the bantamweight Muay Thai crown from him. He's confident about his chances of doing so, in part because he believes he's the hungrier fighter.

'Babyface Killer' is set to headline ONE Friday Fights 1 alongside the longtime champ. In the lead-up to the title fight, Ramazanov spoke to ONE and suggested that Nong-O lacks hunger at this point in his career.

Ramazanov stated:

"I believe that Nong-O is my most dangerous opponent, but at the same time, I am aware that I am a more dangerous opponent for him if you compare me with his previous opponents. I’m younger than him, I’m more aggressive, and I have something he doesn’t have anymore: hunger. I’m sure that’s why I’ll win and take the title away from him."

The inaugural ONE bantamweight kickboxing champ is entering the bout on a two-fight winning streak, with victories over Pongsiri P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym and Capitan Petchyindee.

Nong-O isn't taking Alaverdi Ramazanov lightly ahead of title fight at ONE Friday Fights 1

Despite entering the bout having rallied off six straight title defenses, Nong-O isn't coming in overly confident. He knows that Ramazanov is a worthy challenger who poses a great threat.

The champ told the promotion:

“In my opinion, every fighter in ONE is dangerous to me, especially Alaverdi Ramazanov. This guy can beat many Thai fighters. And, he’s taller and longer than me. He has quick footwork. He’s one of the toughest opponents for me to fight with. My game plan for him is not to be careless. And if I can find a chance, I will finish him right away.”

Nong-O is currently on an unparalleled streak, recording four consecutive stoppage victories in title fights. In his previous outing back in August, the Thai striker needed less than a round to finish Liam Harrison with a vicious leg kick.
