The welterweight division and mixed martial arts world were shaken up by Leon Edwards' remarkable knockout victory over Kamaru Usman.
Usman's dominance over the division and previous stranglehold over the welterweight championship warrants an immediate rematch, according to general consensus. As such, the UFC and Dana White have expressed their plans to stage a rematch in London.
Kamaru Usman's longtime manager Ali Abdelaziz spoke to 'The Schmo' in an interview and commented on a potential trilogy fight. He confirmed that the fight was in the works while also speculating about the result:
"Yeah, like I said. Leon Edwards wants the fight to be in London. Dana White has been very kind to Kamaru and I think this fight will happen in London. I don't know the date exactly but I think it's gonna be sometime in March and I think it's gonna be a rematch. And we already know what's going to happen in a rematch."
Abdelaziz did not comment on the fight venue, however, pointing out that Peter Dropick, Executive Vice President at UFC, is responsible for deciding event venues:
"This is Peter Dropick's job, from the UFC who does venues. I don't know the venues but doesn't really matter. Kamaru is gonna regain his title in March. Henry Cejudo is going to win his title - he's the current champ. I love Aljamain but Henry is the A-side here, it's not Aljamain."

Belal Muhammad demands title fight against Leon Edwards over Kamaru Usman
Belal Muhammad is on a high after breaking out of his stereotypical mold of being a scoreboard fighter at UFC 280. He defeated Sean Brady in convincing fashion by knocking him out in the second round.
Muhammad now sits at No.4 in the welterweight rankings and believes he should fight Leon Edwards next over the former champion Kamaru Usman. He said in a recent Instagram live:
“If you want to make this a real sport, there are no rematches once you lose the Super Bowl. You lose the Super Bowl, you lost the Super Bowl, that’s it. You have to wait until next year. You don’t get a, ‘Ah, man. That was a lucky pass.’ Nah, you lost. You don’t get the rematch right away. You’ve got to go through a whole other season to try and get back there again. So, Usman, sit down a little bit, relax, heal up, and let me fight Leon.”
