Aljamain Sterling has not lost hope with Dillon Danis yet. Conor McGregor's former training partner was finally set to return to action in a boxing match against British YouTuber turned boxer KSI on January 14 at the OVO Arena in London.

However, Danis pulled out of the fight because he was unfit and underprepared to fight. On Twitter, 'Funk Master' praised the former UFC fighter and gave him advice:

"Respectfully, I just wanna see Danis compete again. Not bashing him. I think he’s talented but is he going to compete in anything or keep playing these relationship games with us Yess Dillon, I know you can get more views than me of wiping ya (peach emoji)."

He attached a video of himself talking about Dillon Danis on the latest episode of his podcast. Aljamain Sterling believes Danis is a talented fighter and he definitely attracts a lot of attention from the fans. However, if he does not fight, the fans will not have anything to back him with or support him since Danis has not fought for over three years.

Sterling stated that Dillon Danis has a lot of potential but he does not seem to be training often and looks out of shape.

Aljamain Sterling reveals why his fight against Henry Cejudo is being delayed

Henry Cejudo is set to come out of retirement to face Aljamain Sterling for his bantamweight title. Cejudo, who previously earned the status of double champ, has been calling 'Funk Master' out for a while and both fighters are ready to make the fight but there has been no announcement yet. On the latest episode of his podcast, Sterling explained what was causing the delay.

"The fight's supposed to be myself and Henry Cejudo. I think that's all said and done. It's whether or not I can compete with this torn bicep again. Going through another training camp with a torn bicep again. Against a guy who's stronger in the wrestling department, who will use his wrestling more."

Aljamain Sterling made the announcement because he wanted to be completely fit for the fight against the former double champion. He states that to defend Cejudo's takedowns and grapple with him, he will need his bicep to be functioning at a hundred percent and cannot be going through another fight camp with an injured bicep.
