At ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, Alyse Anderson will have the biggest fight of her career to date on her hands. After coming up victorious in the circle last time out, the American will take on women’s atomweight top contender Stamp Fairtex.

Stamp has not competed in MMA since October 2022, when she defeated Jihin Radzuan via unanimous decision. On May 5, the Thai superstar will make her United States debut as ONE Championship’s hosts their first ever event in North America.

Live from the 1stBank Centre in Broomfield, Colorado, on May 5, the event features some of ONE’s biggest names, including Stamp Fairtex.

Whilst Alyse Anderson knows that her next fight is a big step-up for her, she is relishing the opportunity to compete in such a high profile contest with huge stakes for the atomweight division.

In an interview with the promotion, Anderson said:

“I said yes right away. It’s a great opportunity. What better way to get in the rankings and to climb the rankings than to beat number one? It’s the best opportunity that you can get.”

After losing on her promotional debut to another of the division’s best fighters in Itsuki Hirata, the Michigan native earned her first win inside the circle back in May, submitting Asha Roka in just over two minutes in the opening round.

Back in September 2021, Anderson made her ONE Championship debut against atomweight prodigy Hirata. With ‘Android 18’ producing three consecutive wins under the ONE banner before her clash with Anderson, this fight had real stakes behind it.

Alyse Anderson came into the fight off the back of two consecutive wins, looking to make a huge statement on her ONE Championship debut. With all the hype surrounding her opponent, a win at ONE Championship: Empower would have seen her shoot straight to the top of the division’s rankings.

Both women produced a great fight that announced Anderson to ONE Championship fans and showed what Hirata is capable of. Itsuki’s grappling prowess led her to a unanimous decision win that advanced her in the atomweight Grand Prix.

ONE Championship recently posted the highlights of their contest on YouTube alongside the caption:

“Before Japanese superstar Itsuki Hirata collides with South Korean warrior Ham Seo Hee on March 24, relive her atomweight MMA brawl with American ace Alyse Anderson in 2021!”

Whilst Anderson may have lost the fight and Hirata was forced to pull out of the Grand Prix due to an illness, both women rebounded with victories inside the Circle.
