ONE light heavyweight and heavyweight world champion Anatoly Malykhin has given his prediction for the upcoming ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title fight between Fabricio Andrade and Jonathan Haggerty in the main event of ONE Fight Night 16.

This champion-versus-champion showdown is set to blow the roof of the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 3. It will crown the promotion’s newest two-sport world champion.

In his ONE Championship interview, Malykhin explained how ‘Wonder Boy’ would beat ‘The General.’ ‘Sladkiy’ said:

“I think Fabricio will pressure him, take the center of the ring, and look for the knockout. The power of putting pressure on will win. I think Fabricio will win by KO from punches.”

This prediction is based on the sustained hard work and dedication of the reigning ONE bantamweight world champion at Tiger Muay Thai, which the 35-year-old Russian sees firsthand.

Aside from the great things he does during training, Andrade is also known to be a feared finisher, with a high ONE Championship finish rate of 83% or five stoppage wins in six bouts.

Among those five finishes were four TKO/KO victories over Li Kai Wen, Jeremy Pacatiw, Kwon Won Il, and John Lineker. Andrade’s two other victories in the ONE Championship were a submission win over Mark Abelardo in July 2020 and a unanimous decision victory against Shoko Sato in February 2021.

ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade on Prime Video will air live on US Primetime free of charge for existing Prime Video subscribers in North America.
