At ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video, Anissa Meksen will face a unique challenge that will take her out of her comfort zone.

On January 13, the elite striker will face Stamp Fairtex in the promotion’s second-ever mixed-rules contest. On paper, Stamp would seemingly have an advantage in the fight thanks to her high-level experience in both striking-only sports and MMA.

Despite this, Meksen believes that she can compete with Stamp wherever the fight goes and is ready to prove people wrong on ONE’s first event of the year.

In a recent Instagram post, Anissa Meksen posted a video previewing the fight in, which she says:

“If she wants to put me on the ground, you know I’m ready for everything. She’s never faced a girl like me. And believe me, if she takes one shot, she will be scared. If she thinks she can submit me, it’s a big mistake from her. Just try. And we will see what happens after. She’s fighting at home, but in the circle, believe me, she’s in my home.”

Anissa Meksen will face Stamp Fairtex in front of her opponents' home fans in Bangkok, Thailand. Live from the Impact Arena, ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video will air in US primetime and is free to watch with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Anissa Meksen claims she built her career the hard way

Anissa Meksen has made it clear that unlike a lot of ONE Championship viewers, she is not a huge fan of Stamp Fairtex.

On top of downplaying her skills by consistently calling her a "dancer," Meksen believes that her fame and success was manufactured by ONE Championship, whilst she had to earn everything the hard way.

In an interview with ONE, Anissa Meksen spoke about how she believes that Stamp Fairtex became a star after the promotion positioned her that way by giving her the right opponents:

“It’s not the same for me. I took everybody out [who was in] my way. I did not choose opponents, nothing. So we will see if she’s the bigger star.”

Whilst Stamp’s rise to stardom definitely happened quickly, to say it happened overnight would be overlooking her hard work. Stamp was the first person in ONE history to achieve the status of being a two-sport world champion, claiming gold in both Muay Thai and kickboxing.

On top of that, Stamp then made a successful transition to MMA, going 9-2 in her pro career and winning the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix championship.

Whilst she became a huge name following her success early on in her ONE career, Stamp has proven that she is here to stay at the top throughout her career in MMA.
