Anissa Meksen is unfazed by the prospect of fighting former atomweight champ Stamp Fairtex in her native country.
'C18' faces the challenge of essentially making her MMA debut while competing in ONE Championship's second-ever 'mixed rules match' at ONE on Prime Video 6.
The seven-time kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion recently spoke with the promotion about taking on Stamp in Thailand:
"I don't care about her fans. My way is in the circle. I think everybody thinks about me as the challenger or that I'm the best in this position. The pressure is on the shoulders of Stamp Fairtex and also in the circle, and besides, she's at home. So it doesn't matter where the fight is."
When asked about where she's currently residing, Meksen replied:
"I’m in Phuket right now."
Meksen also commented on calling Phuket her second home:
"Yes. Because I have lived in Phuket for five years now, so it's like my second home. You know, I feel comfortable and I enjoy every day. So it's my second home."

Meksen, who has never taken part in an MMA bout, is taking on a former ONE women's atomweight world grand prix tournament winner in Stamp. However, 'C18' didn't flinch when offered the fight. She told the promotion:
“I love the challenge, so I took it, simply."
Meanwhile, Meksen is one-half of just the second custom rules bout in ONE Championship history—with Demetrious Johnson submitting Rodtang Jitmuangnon in the first-ever mixed rules match. Addressing that fight, Meksen stated:
“Fans just want to see fights. My fans want to simply see me in the circle. It doesn't matter if it's Muay Thai, kickboxing, or MMA. They just want to see my fights.”
Entering the biggest fight of her ONE tenure thus far, Anissa Meksen holds a 2-0 Muay Thai record inside the circle. She also beat Cristina Morales in her lone ONE kickboxing bout.
