Chael Sonnen recently learned from Ariel Helwani that a gesture his wife Brittany makes is not a common trope amongst married couples.

Sonnen and his wife Brittany met after 'The American Gangster' spotted her in the crowd during a fight in Portland. The pair hit it off and exchanged numbers before meeting up the very next day, eventually getting married in 2013. The couple also welcomed their son, Thero, in June 2015.

The UFC Hall of Famer recently appeared on Steve-O's Wild Ride! podcast where he was asked about a particular act his wife often does for him. Steve-O revealed he had spoken to Ariel Helwani before welcoming Sonnen on the show, and Helwani told the Jackass star to ask Sonnen about Brittany packing his suitcases.

Chael Sonnen shared that his wife packs his suitcase whenever he is away from home, and doesn't check its contents until he's already left. The 45-year-old also added that she often leaves him notes and treats and admitted he didn't know this was an uncommon act amongst married couples:

"That's true. It's very true. She treats me so nicely and I didn't know it was uncommon. Apparently that's not overly common and I need to be more appreciative! He [Ariel] said his wife had never packed his bag for him. Brittany's the best."

Chael Sonnen on Jon Jones wanting to be an underdog versus Ciryl Gane

Next month, Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane will main-event UFC 285 for the vacant heavyweight title. 'Bones' will be marking his return to the octagon after he vacated the 205lb strap almost three years ago.

Due to his time away and him debuting in a new weightclass, Jones has opened up as the underdog at the odds offered by BetOnline

Chael Sonnen weighed in on the odds on his YouTube channel. Sonnen believes Jones is happy to be considered the underdog because it will only help strengthen his legacy should he be victorious:

"The narrative flat out says you cannot stand with this man, this man will beat you. You must take him down. I mean that appears to me the kind of situation that Jon has been looking for."
"Precisely the kind of challenge he wants. Precisely the walkout, the environment and the emotional setup that he left the division gave [up] a world championship and waited three years to get."

Sonned added:

"I truly believe the one thing that Jon was looking for was from you guys. And he wasn't looking for excitement and he wasn't looking for money. He was looking for doubt. He wants you to doubt him so he can show you and remind you again just how good he is."
