With the scheduled fight just around the corner at UFC Vegas 70, UFC flyweight contender Charles Johnson has agreed to step in on short notice to face Ode Osbourne.

Following Denys Bondar's recent elbow injury, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) handed him a medical suspension. This left a spot open for his scheduled opponent, Ode Osbourne, at UFC Vegas 70. Despite not being initially slated to compete, Charles Johnson eagerly accepted the challenge of a late-notice fight and agreed to step in to face Osbourne.

Ode Osbourne, also known as 'The Jamaican Sensation,' has not competed in the octagon since his defeat against Tyson Nam at UFC Fight Night: Vera vs Cruz in August last year. In that fight, Osbourne suffered a TKO in the first round, bringing his two-fight winning streak to an end.

Charles Johnson, on the other hand, is currently riding a two-fight winning streak and is determined to add more wins to his already impressive resume.

In his last bout, which took place just last month at UFC Fight Night, Johnson faced off against Jimmy Flick in a high-octane flyweight bout. He emerged victorious from the fight, demonstrating his skills and proving that he is one of the top competitors in the division.

UFC Vegas 70 headlines Krylov vs Spann

UFC makes a return to APEX in Las Vegas on February 25th. The main event promises to be a thrilling light heavyweight matchup between two of the top contenders for the 205-pound title: Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann.

But that's not all - the rest of the card is equally exciting, featuring a showdown between featherweight contenders Andre Fili and Lucas Almeida. Both fighters are vying for a spot in the 145-pound title chase.

One of the most intriguing fights to keep an eye on at UFC Vegas 70 is the showdown between Jordan Leavitt and Victor Martinez. Leavitt is determined to bounce back from a loss in his most high-profile fight to date, when he was tasked with defeating rising star Paddy Pimblett in July 2022. He will now be looking to get his career back on track by taking down Martinez.
