A few fighters have been rumoured to be coaching the upcoming TUF season. Foremost among them is Tony Ferguson, who recently issued a challenge to the former two-division UFC champion.
Conor McGregor last coached The Ultimate Fighter in 2015
This will mark Conor McGregor's second stint as a coach on TUF, as he coached opposite Urijah Faber in season 22 of TUF nearly eight years ago.
However, the two didn't fight as 'The Notorious' was challenging then-featherweight champion Jose Aldo at UFC 194. Faber fought Frankie Saenz in a bantamweight bout on the same card.
There were plenty of memorable exchanges during that season, including 'Mystic Mac' infamously calling then bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw a "snake in the grass."
'The Notorious' was also involved in a physical altercation was Faber in a hall in front of the cameras. Suffice it to say, if the Irishman does indeed end up coaching in the upcoming TUF season, there'll be plenty of drama, action and trash-talk to unpack.
