Jorge Masvidal is not keen on a potential Jake Paul fight anytime soon

Jorge Masvidal has said that he is not interested in fighting Jake Paul, despite the hype surrounding a potential bout between the two fighters. Masvidal, who is currently ranked No.11 in the welterweight division, spoke to Karisa Maxwell of The Sporting News about his lack of interest in facing the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

Masvidal said:

"In MMA, that's not gonna happen. Ever. It doesn't matter what they offer that individual. He's not a draw, I'll be honest with you. It's proven. I'm in the promoter business. If influencers were selling pay-per-views like that, I would book these influencers. They don't sell. His biggest draw was against I don't know, [Tyron] Woodley or something, and got 80,000 buys,"

He went on to say that he is only interested in fighting the best fighters in the world or those who will help him earn the most money. According to him, Jake Paul does not meet either of these criteria.

"What am I doing fighting this guy? Two things are why I signed up for this sport - to fight the best in the world or to make the most money possible. He doesn't fit either of those criterias."

Despite the attention and hype surrounding 'The Problem Child's boxing career, Masvidal believes that he is not a draw and does not have the same appeal as some of the top fighters in the world. As such, he has no interest in facing him in the ring.
