Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will reportedly co-host the upcoming boxing match between Jake Paul and Anderson Silva, which is scheduled to go down at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, on October 29. Most Valuable Promotions, owned by Paul, first broke the news on Twitter:

"We are honored to announce UFC legend GSP @GeorgesStPierre will be the official co-host of #PaulSilva"

'The Problem Child' also shared his appreciation for the UFC legend with the below tweet:

"Welcome to the show legend @GeorgesStPierre - appreciate you for co-hosting."

Paul has smartly involved notable MMA figures in his upcoming clash against the man who many have agreed is the greatest middleweight in MMA history. The two press conferences held for the bout so far have been hosted by UFC veteran Chael Sonnen.

The card also seems set to be a huge success, having already established itself as the second-highest grossing combat sports event in the history of the Desert Diamond Arena. It trails just behind UFC 263, which was headlined by a middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori.

Georges St-Pierre believes Jake Paul is more of a fighter now than a YouTuber

Jake Paul entered into the world of combat sports with a TKO win over fellow YouTuber AnEson Gib in 2020. Since then, 'The Problem Child' has steadily faced higher levels of opponents, taking on former NBA star Nate Robinson before moving on to former MMA fighters Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

However, Paul is still sometimes dismissed as a YouTuber in the world of boxing as he is yet to fight a legitimate pugilist. However, Georges St-Pierre believes 'The Problem Child' is now more of a fighter than a YouTuber. Speaking of the upcoming bout between Paul and Silva, GSP said in an interview with The Schmo:

“Every time we see Jake Paul, he is improving at an incredible rate. So that’s the thing about him, people make fun they say he’s a YouTuber. He’s not only a YouTuber, he’s a fighter now, he’s more a fighter than a YouTuber. So he’s a very good boxer. He’s got great power, so I can’t wait to see this fight."
