It appears as though a welterweight clash between Tim Means and Alex Morono is set to take place at an upcoming UFC Fight Night on May 13.

Both fighters have gone through their fair share of adversity inside the octagon and will be looking to get back on track in the talented welterweight division. Morono is coming off a third-round knockout loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio, which ended his four-fight winning streak that included wins over Donald Cerrone and Mickey Gall.

Means, on the other hand, is looking to snap his two-fight losing skid that includes a submission loss to Kevin Holland and a split decision loss to Max Griffin. Prior to his losing skid, he was riding a three-fight winning streak that included wins over Mike Perry and Nicolas Dalby.

Both fighters have had lengthy tenures in the UFC as 'The Dirty Bird' has fought in the promotion since 2014, while 'The Great White' has fought in the promotion since 2016.

When is the next UFC event?

Although there aren't any events scheduled for this weekend, the promotion returns with an exciting pay-per-view on April 8 as they host UFC 287 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida.

The event will be headlined by the highly anticipated rematch between Israel Adesanya and middleweight champion Alex Pereira. 'Izzy' will look to regain the middleweight champion and finally get a win over his longtime rival, who has now defeated him twice in kickboxing and once in MMA.

Miami's own Jorge Masvidal returns to the octagon in the co-main event as he fights No. 5 ranked welterweight Gilbert Burns. There could be a lot at stake for the winner as they both look to get themselves back in the mix for a welterweight title shot.
