Newly crowned featherweight kickboxing king Chingiz Allazov earned a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong after his recent knockout win. However, 'Chinga' said that facing Superbon meant just as much as the extra check.

The 29-year-old stunned fans around the world by snagging the belt from Superbon in emphatic fashion at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. Allazov spoke to SCMP MMA about the fight and receiving the bonus, saying:

"Thank you very much Chatri [Sityodtong]. Thank you very much ONE for giving me the bonus."

"Yes, 100K [would have been] good, yes. But I just wanted to win this fight. The bonus is just another [thing]. I believed in this fight. This is my dream fight. I said before, my dream fight is Sitthichai. Sitthichai, for four or five years he was a pound-for-pound fighter and I beat him. I respect this guy."

The champ concluded:

"Same for Superbon, he’s the best of the best of strikers. He beat everyone but I beat him. Now, fifty thousand, one million, or two million, I don’t think about this. I only say thank you for the fight. My dream came true. I told his coach, thank you so much for this. And thank you for my coach, we had a good game plan for the last two fights."

Chingiz Allazov focused entirely on kickboxing, not planning a transition to Muay Thai anytime soon

'Chinga' attained a world title in just four appearances inside the circle. With the dream of becoming a two-sport champion at the back of Allazov's mind, many are waiting to see when and if he'll transition to Muay Thai.

He spoke on that notion following his victory at ONE Fight Night 6, revealing:

"Me going to Muay Thai is another situation. I don’t like it. Maybe I won’t focus 100 percent on this style. I don’t like fighting in other styles. We’ve had many fights in Muay Thai, but for 11 years, I haven’t fought in Muay Thai. I talked to my coach about this, you know, maybe we like this. But no. I say we focus only 100 percent now [on kickboxing]."

Any contender who challenges Allazov will have their hands full. The champ is on an incredible hot streak, which includes finishes over Samy Sana, Jo Nattawut, and, most notably, Superbon.
