Chingiz Allazov sends message to Superbon and his team following spectacular TKO victory

Newly crowned ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Chingiz Allazov was devastating in his world title conquest over Superbon Singha Mawynn at ONE Fight Night 6 but made it clear he has nothing but respect for the fallen champion.

‘Chinga’ rose to the top of his division after his second-round knockout victory over former world champion Superbon in ONE Championship’s first live event of the year on January 13 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Chingiz Allazov showed tremendous punching power in their main event showdown which proved to be too much to handle for Superbon, who was dropped to the mat thrice in slumping to his defeat.

In the post-fight interview, the Azerbaijani–Belarusian fighter said that while he was happy and proud of what he had accomplished, he did not think anything less of Superbon and his team and sent them a message:

“I have something to say to Superbon and his team. I want to say that I have big respect for this guy. He really is one of the best kickboxers on the planet. I saw a lot of his fights, I have really big respect.”

He added:

“I wish him the best and a speedy recovery, and yes, I knocked him out. But I wish him the best recovery. I wish him all the best in life. Thank you for the fight, Superbon.”

The world title conquest continued for Chingiz Allazov an eventful last year and a half that has also seen him win the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix which earned him a shot at Superbon's belt. He is now on the lookout for new world titles to vie for while keeping his newly-won gold.

Chingiz Allazov gives props to coach Andrei Gridin after incredible performance at ONE Fight Night 6

Azerbaijani–Belarusian fighter Chingiz Allazov was impressive in his conquest of the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title but admitted he could not have done it sans the help of his entire team, especially coach Andrei Gridin.

‘Chinga’ demolished Superbon Singha Mawynn by way of a second-round knockout at ONE Fight Night 6 on January 13 in Bangkok to become the division’s new world champion.

Immediately after the fight, Chingiz Allazov made sure to give credit to Gridin and the rest of their team for bringing the best out of him and preparing him for his biggest fight to date in ONE Championship.

In his in-circle post-fight interview, he said:

“Two, three days before he said, he’d knock me out. But I don’t like to talk much. Now I have the knockout and I’m the best of the best -- the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. But Mitch, in this fight I present my coach Andrei Gridin, this is the best of the best coach in the world. He’s a legendary coach.”

Gridin has been guiding Chingiz Allazov's career for quite a while now and has helped him chart a blazing path in ONE Championship.
